The album is on its way to 2 billion streams when it only had one semi-hit. Its streams are actually better than i thought for an artist that yall keep labelling a flop. In your mind when will the album not be considered a flop when it reaches 2 billion? 3 billion? Are yall just always gonna keep moving the goal post. Edited January 16 by Distantconstellation 8 1

The album tracks can’t even pull 10K daily streams. This is the woman that had the GLOBAL best selling single of 2018. This is a massive commercial flop, possibly one of the biggest of all time. Stop spinning it any other way. 5 1 4

Then i expect you to apply that to ever single album, even old ones. I guess most albums are considered a flop according to your rule including mileys since flowers was a massive success and everything else pretty much flopped.
Dr. Alexander Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I wish people would stop using the term when it comes to the music industry because it’s outright stupid. Why is a proper push and backing by a label even seen as a negative? It is proper business practice. A practice that has been in place since the beginning of time. These little radio deals and Spotify playlists are minimal to how things used to be. You had artists who signed multi-million dollar campaigns with Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and other big retailers and to have their single featured in their commercial that would play every 30 minutes across every TV channel across the globe. Like… Back then endorsements were a sign of how powerful you are but now these aging gays think its an embarrasment even though these celebs are getting paid millions. Just look at how they made fun of xtina and gaga for working with oreo. I never understood that thinking. They act like its something new of the 2010s when they been endorsing huge brands since the start of their career.
Happylittlepunk Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Dua lipa is modern pop girl success in 2020s it’s how all pop girls should be promoted. the only reason it doesn’t work for Camila is because nobody cares. 1

Like… This forum is full of morons. They're the the ones crying about how the newest generations of popstars are lazy and never promote or give content and would rather do makeup and merch then on the same breath spread the stupidest rhetoric: "overexposed!!!" "payola!!!" "not organic" "calculated!!!" "only cares about success". Yeah, no ****, dude, it's one of the greediest industries, the second you stop making people money, you get spat out. 7
