Which of these pop staples has the most iconic first second only, the one that the GP would most instantly recognise, and vice versa?

I originally had Bad Romance for Lady GaGa but since it's a vocal I thought Poker Face would be more fair

the horns on crazy in love are an instant give away to the smasha so i have to say it's the most iconic in the sense that ezgif.com-gif-maker(1).thumb.gif.8a7d0e294aae70e1bffaa923c5034d5a.thumb.gif.9520edf684ff2497b23873b67c0f635f.gif it's the one one can recognize the fastest. After that I'd say Toxic >= Poker > We Found Love. The other one isn't on the same level obviously

Poker Face best by far and leagues, Shake it off a very distant LAST.

Most between Crazy In Love and Poker Face. Toxic is pretty close, followed by We Found Love.

Shake It Off least because it's not a melodic intro and it's also not really one of Taylor's signature hits anyway. You Belong With Me would be a much fairer comparison.

Crazy In Love for sure - those horns alone

Shake It Off is easily the least - it's not known for its first second ' note

A study conducted in 2014 proved that Poker Face and Just Dance are two of the most recognizable/catchiest songs of all time, at that point.

Quote

Here is the full list of the top 20 catchiest songs of all time:

  1. Spice Girls - Wannabe: 2.29 seconds
  2. Lou Bega - Mambo No 5: 2.48 seconds
  3. Survivor - Eye of the Tiger: 2.62 seconds
  4. Lady Gaga - Just Dance: 2.66 seconds
  5. ABBA - SOS: 2.73 seconds
  6. Roy Orbison - Pretty Woman: 2.73 seconds
  7. Michael Jackson - Beat It: 2.80 seconds
  8. Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You: 2.83 seconds
  9. The Human League - Don't You Want Me: 2.83 seconds
  10. Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing: 2.84 seconds
  11. Lady Gaga - Poker Face: 2.88 seconds

So along with the OP's options, it is Poker Face. :clap3:

Can’t go wrong with either CIL, Toxic or Poker Face… WFL to a lesser extent… SIO is the least iconic.

You should’ve used Love Story for Taylor. That banjo is iconic

Toxic is definitely the most famous, iconic and recognizable one.

The least is Shake It Off.
