PoisonedIvy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) I’m in a densely populated diverse Texas city so it’s literally a perfect trifecta blend of country music, hip hop music, and latin music And then of course when I’m near the gay area that’s where all the pop and dance music is. So I get a great variety of everything (except rock, but I personally love that genre myself. I just don’t have any friends irl into it) Oh and KPop is pretty popular here too actually. I have so much exposure to pretty much everything where I am which I’m grateful for Edited January 15 by PoisonedIvy
ariananext Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Family: AC music (mostly italian) - I have a niece (18) who stans Ariana and Abel, she's like a mini-me Friends: indie music (italian), r&b and hip-hop, mostly male artists tbh (they're in their 20s) Work friends: rock music (they're all in their 30s)
DamianSolo Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Culturally, country, zydeco and Southern hip-hop. I have a strong appreciation for country and I do like some zydeco, however begrudgingly, but I'm insanely picky when it comes to hip-hop—as the artists I listen to are usually avoided by people out here (in Louisiana). My music library is probably just 2% hip-hop. My immediate family just listens to old school R&B and soul, which I do appreciate a great amount of that. Meanwhile, I'm listening to mostly trance, jazz, crossover classical, 80s music and various forms of alternative rock. My time growing up around New Orleans is what laid the foundation for my appreciation of jazz. You'll just randomly hear it from every which way while going about the city.
honestopinion Posted January 15 Posted January 15 My dad is a Lana Del Rey stan, i made him listen to her once like 12 years ago and he's still obsessed

imabadkid Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I have a lot of straight (str8-ish) friends… a lot of them listen to Drake, Travis Scott, Future, Playboi Carti, etc. Morgan Wallen is popular with them too. My gay friends of course Ariana, Britney, Christina, etc. a lot of people stereotype gays and think we only listen to Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. I’ve noticed a lot of guys are more chill when they realize they can’t put u in a box. I listen to mainly pop (top 40) and trap rap.
Armani? Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I live in Southeast Michigan in a predominantly Urban area. People listen to Rod Wave if we're talking people around my age the most lately. The oldheads listen to mainly old-school R&B (1990s & prior) from numerous artists.
