GagaChina Posted January 15 Posted January 15 for billie getting the second oscar is difficult but not unattainble this is getting interesting
Archetype Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Everyone knows Billie's song is better and superior in every way, what game are they trying to play with this 1

Ivan_brit Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I Like the song! but how??? Billie & even Dua songs are superior! Also the thread tittle says Ryan.... Im sorry he did not win, Mark Ronson was the winner

Trent W Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Not defending the track But the hate and mostly self-hate here for men is absolutely insane Creating threads over a male winner, as if 50% of the world isn’t male This forum gives mental asylum sometimes 2 1 1
Margaux Posted January 15 Posted January 15 deserved. billies song sound like any song from her last album. no variety whatsoever.
Kiss It Better Posted January 15 Posted January 15 a song about patriarchy from a movie about feminism and women's struggle is such a joke..... like idc about billie losing at least give it to dance the night or any other songs

State of Grace. Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The song is pure CAMP and I don't hate it, but yeah if the only male song from a supposedly feminist movie about BARBIE wins... I wouldn't really put it past the Academy though. Billie deserves this 100% but I'm not sure if they'd give her a 2nd Oscar this soon. But then again, Mark Ronson also won recently in 2019 for Shallow.
Billionaire Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Great thing critics aren't the ones voting at the Grammys and Oscars They've already made their stance clear on this category with him practically sweeping the regional awards so idc, even Greta is always looking confused as hell when this song wins anything If they weren't going to give it to Billie, at least give it to Dua who is not only actually a woman but who's song was an actual hit and put up a decent campaign. Ronson did practically nothing and this song's award run is becoming another case of opportunities and accloades being thrown at privileged white straight men for doing the bare minimum Edited January 15 by Billionaire
Bosque Posted January 15 Posted January 15 The fumes in here I'm Just Ken is a great song too, and rightfully acclaimed. Billie is winning her share of awards, too. I'm not sure people really understood the purpose of Ken in the movie 1
Blue Monday Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Ryan Gosling didn't write the song, he just sang it. Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt get the award. Anyway, Billie is probably still winning the Oscar; why is everyone fuming? The Critic's Choice is hardly a prestigious award and they aren't really indicative of who will win the Oscar. If you take a look at how much they nominate, they really try to be predictive but don't hold much sway when all is said and done. Edited January 15 by Blue Monday
