cultural impact wise tho she had a bigger peak. she became a household name in like a year whereas no shade to doja but she's still not really a household name that someone like my dad would know

This has been debunked with RIIA certifications. IOP is 4x platinum, possibly 5x platinum eligible while PF is 4x platinum eligible.   I don't think international markets will make a huge difference for PF even it gets the lead. 

 

OT: I am not sure. Nicki was definitely more famous back in the day. Doja Cat is more a streaming hit maker, her name does not hold power. Nicki was Nicki.
