Popular Post fememeist Posted January 13 Popular Post Posted January 13 I recently loss my cousin who was like my best friend to me, and I was listening to music to help me grieve while looking at memorabilia + photos, and I burst into tears when I was listening to Beyoncé’s self titled and this song came up: Despite the lyrical content suggesting something different, I feel this song is so melancholic and is even more somber than Bey’s Heaven, even though that song directly addresses losing a love one. Does anyone get that same vibe from this song? 15
Strawberry Bubble Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I am deeply sorry for your loss. Sending you a big hug and lots of strength during this moment of sadness. 1

With Heaven, I feel like Bey’s conveying the sense of letting go of your loved ones in your sadness to be happy, but with Blue, I feel like I’m desperately trying to hold onto my cousin, as if she’s still here and that it’ll be okay. I know it sounds crazy and everything will be okay… 2

BGKC Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) I’ve mentioned it before in the Basé, but this imo is her most underrated song and by far her best closing track. The video is so wholesome and genuine too. The bridge is what really gets you. It’s just so perfect and one of many reasons why ST remains her best album. I send my condolences Edited January 13 by BGKC 1
