Distantconstellation Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Their predictions are almost always wrong. When they hate or dislike someone the GP seems to love them and vice versa. Where is the disconnect here? 1 1
St. Charles Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It’s a niche, so by definition tastes and opinions are not going to align with the general public very often. (At least when it comes to music). 6
Frogger17 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) When you’ve run out of Vicodin and coke, you have nothing left to fill yourself with than hate and delusion. Edited January 12 by Frogger17 10
Gelato Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Ageing user base that's too attached to the artists and music that were big in 2013 3
Popular Post Rev8 Posted January 12 Popular Post Posted January 12 Yall really need to drop the "atrl gays" or "gays" stuff already All kinds of stans are delusional and wrong a lot of the times 12 3

Dante Silva Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It’s simply about gays and straights having separate nuances in context of their musical and sometimes cultural influences. A pertinent current example being that straight U.S. radio jocks supposedly have a WhatsApp chat and have come to the conclusion that the current Ariana single is out of step with their musical agenda and ‘bro’ culture.
Rotunda Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I think ATRL overall isn’t as “wrong” as people say it is, but that each fan base has haters/trolls, so there’s always gonna be somebody on the other side to poke fun at when they’re wrong. I also think “winning” fanbases are addicted to acting like their fav is some underdog surviving hate campaigns and manufactured outrage, and not one of the most successful people on the planet. 4
GraceRandolph Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The GP can be wrong too. Just look at how they flip flop on social issues, artists, and trends. ATRL gays are more consistent actually, although the bar is in hell. 2 4
Bonicap Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's not being out of touch, it's because ATRL is formed mostly by a very specific demographic. If you go to a kindergarten and ask them what's the best song out there and they answer Baby Shark it's not because they are disconnected from reality. It's their reality. 1 3
VerdantHue Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I think deep down a lot of ATRL gays who are out of touch know it but no one has put them in their place in real life, so they continue problematic behavior online. 1
Rhyme Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) A lot of ATRL users like to let their personal feelings about something cloud their perception of reality. If they dislike something that means everyone else dislikes it too. And anyone else who likes that something is a bot or paid. Edited January 12 by Rhyme 1
byzantium Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I think it is a small but vocal group that is just out of touch and lack perspective.
Digitalism Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Most stans are not even here for the music, they just live through their favs (or the people they hate)
glitch Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's always you making these same threads over and over again 1 6
Strawberry Bubble Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is not true. In fact, I've seen many people here using data and real numbers to back up their claims, something that I don't see it Twitter or even on Reddit. People here share their opinions. And it is not true that they are disconnected from reality, opinions and subjective views are also a part of the reality in which we live in. That's why many big artists today don't have big numbers, because even if they are not popular with the GP, the emotional appeal is still there. 3

HEAVYONIT Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Because the majority are young, unemployed, and living with their parents...literally the definition of out of touch with reality 1
