wowsignal14 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I've heard vogue a thousand times and I'm struggling to see where the sample is. yes it's the same genre as vogue (house) but other than that there isn't any similarities at all ??? if I'm not hearing it please tell me which part samples vogue. 1
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted January 12 ATRL Moderator Posted January 12 Literally the entire song sounds like a toned down version of Vogue 4

Sheep Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Sometimes I forget that most pop gays understand literally nothing about music. 1 10
John Slayne Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) it's an interpolation not a sample. the beat was obviously taken from Vogue Edited January 12 by John Slayne 1 1
OreGuy Posted January 12 Posted January 12 interpolation at best. also a sample can be more than what ava max/nicki have been doing the past years. 1 1
St. Charles Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Because it doesn’t sample Vogue. It sounds vaguely inspired by it, but it honestly sounds like how many early 90s house songs sound. I just think Vogue is the only one people remember well, hence all the comparisons 2 3

Illuminati Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) I don't hear it either, there are so many songs that actually sound like Vogue. If it does interpolate Vogue they've done a good job at making it sound like its own thing. This is no average Ava Max remix of a classic Edited January 12 by Illuminati
tost1 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's not a sample, but you can clearly hear the beat being the same 3
ScorpiosGroove Posted January 12 Posted January 12 kinda baffling just how many of y’all on this music forum are musically illiterate 4
Into The Void Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I can totally hear the interpolation. If people can't hear it I guess they did a good job making it its own.
violent desires Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Listen to the bassline at 2:40, obvious interpolation of Vogue Edited January 12 by violent desires 1
John Slayne Posted January 12 Posted January 12 imo yes, and? is more similar to Vogue than BTW is to Express Yourself but y'all aren't ready to talk about that. and that's no shade to Ari or Gaga, just my personal observation 1
ImpressMeMuch Posted January 12 Posted January 12 are you expecting Ava max level samples from Ari?? Lmao it’s an interpolation
45seconds Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It just sounds like Ari said she wanted to do dance music and a producer used vogue as inspiration to create the sound. I’m not hearing the sample itself. 1 1

ovogrande Posted January 12 Posted January 12 There is no Vogue sample or interpolation. The only credited writers are Ariana, Ilya and Max who are also the producers. There was never any confirmation of there being a sample, only one random Twitter account claimed that. What @Scandal said is that it was Vogue influenced which is true. It's the same type of music.
