It's not good lol so I'm genuinely confused as to why people thought this was going to be good I saw it on Broadway, it was pretty decent... mostly because it followed the movie directly... but the songs were not memorable at all.

Bubble Tea Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Everything about this is pathetic and rehashed. The beauty of the original Mean Girls is that it was honest in how teen girls operate. I'll be giving this new fangled flop a miss.
youreyesgocold Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I saw it in early preview last night and actually it was pretty decent. The new jokes were stellar. They did enough to differentiate while still including the iconic lines everyone was looking for. I saw the musical on stage a few years ago and it was alright - some new jokes and a mediocre soundtrack tbh. It was fun for 2 hours but I never cared to listen to the soundtrack again and basically forgot all the staging and stuff (all I took away from it was how iconic Lindsay Pearce was as Janis) However I feel like this musical movie stands on its own. Maybe the straights who hate musicals will feel jaded they were duped. But I knew it was a musical and I’m gay so I loved it.
Daddy Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Musicals suck (minus Buffys musical episode, that **** was perfection) Love Mean Girls but not enough to do that to myself 3
Uncatena Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I can't stop thinking about this clip... the fact that its like the fourth for fifth number in the movie so the audience knew at this point, its just that the songs suck so bad 1
truthteller Posted January 12 Posted January 12 this is why they should not trick people into the theatres (especially when the music was not even that good)

Poxy Posted January 12 Posted January 12 When they hear Karen sing sexy, they’ll change their minds! 1
Afterglow Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Just stop trying to rehash the magic of millennial times and recasting with these random actors! Just make some original sh*t! If you want to recreate this stuff, use the originals! Who cares if they're older now? Make a comedy about them as adults? Simple!

A lot of people decide what to see on the spur of the moment or don’t want to be spoiled.
