Blue Monday Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) I don’t necessarily care about short albums but I’m tired of songs lacking bridges, or anything beyond a short verse and a hook; the positions deluxe tracks suffered from exactly this; like as catchy as worst behavior and test drive are on a casual listen they could have been actual smashes if they were fleshed out more, and that’s the first thing I thought of when I saw those track lengths. I feel like half of the album is going to be songs from her 2021 and 2022 studio sessions reworked so I doubt it’ll feel too rushed. I think only half was made brand new during the strike.

Did any of you actually watch the interview? She went to the studio to test the waters and everything poured out of her, and she ended up going to the studio by herself for months. Yeah, I think people are just still not emotionally settled on her looking different, the break between albums, and the reality she's commercially peaked (and seemingly happy about that fact) so there's a lot of weird projection happening. "Something feels off! This all feels rushed!" TU,N was literally recorded in 3.5 months and is considered some of her best work. 5

I hope the songs on ES don’t suffer from the same issues true but the tracks on positions deluxe were like 2:05 long. based on the supposed tracklist we have, the shortest one on ES is 2:31, very close to songs like “just like magic” and “my hair” which had amazing bridges

Go outside and touch some grass! 15 years ago or not, 15 to 30 minutes is still considered an EP regardless of how long the songs are 11 minutes ago, Communion said: You mean the project Gaga famously considers her 2nd album? she does, and I agree that it’s it’s own thing. but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still an EP, and I believe it’s even considered one in her leaked legal documents (if I recall correctly) still, it’s really interesting how OGH and others flip flop on TFM being an EP or not depending on how convenient it is for them 1
