Gerardo Posted February 8 Posted February 8 It’s clear that the two months of wait are to get pre-orders, she never promotes and yall know that I actually think we might get some interviews and performances on the first release month, she’ll still keep the era short tho

gatito Posted February 8 Posted February 8 i'm just glad we're getting new music now and not in 2026 after she's done with wicked 1

Dialamba Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Atp I should stan Dua Lipa or Taylor. Because no one wants to give full era. I really really wish the album is good because i for disappointed with Doja I don’t another one with ari.

If you're not going to get your ass on different stageS to perform the song, do some talk shows, create some hype, etc then having a ~2 months gap feels a bit extra. I guess they want to maximize pre-orders/vinyl sales but like....they are not gonna sell themselves ms ponytail. I do like the BTS stuff we're getting so far, and the song is still on repeat for me personally, but I want more! Well the sales will be shitty I think.. shes just not an album seller

El Nino Posted February 9 Posted February 9 20 hours ago, duybeeGAshantiGA said: What other era(s) of hers that looked expensive? I think ALL of her eras are like that when you think about it. Unless you stan someone else, I think Ari is like that and will be for the rest of her career. When I really think about it, this is prolly one of the thingss she got inspired by Mariah: doing cheap ass and basic shoots for albums, it seems like they want to tell you "hey im a vocalist, you need to focus on my voice only": Everything except Yours Truly had some quality to it. Understandable because it was her debut. This is just giving flop era. The Mariah covers are the Mona Lisa compared to Eternal Sunshine's cover. Even the title just screams flop.
Saintlor Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Ariana not being a huge album seller is absolutely her own fault (but it doesnt matter since I don't think she cares) The Way and Problem's debuts were proof she had early-on established a fanbase willing to pay for her music 3

It's only a two month wait between lead single and album, that's pretty standard or at least not that rare. I could understand the frustration of not getting a second single before the album if the rollout was 3+ months long, but if Yes, and? was smashing hard I don't think anyone would be expecting a second single already.
Saud Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I just know she’s dreading the wicked promo cycle.. luckily she doesn’t have a choice

The only thing about this that bugs me is that by doing this, she is prolly only going to have 2 #1s this era (the 2nd single being released along with the album will go #1 for sure). But if she releases the 2nd single before the album, it might debut at #1 and the 3rd single being released on the same day as the album will be also a #1. The era is pretty much dead after the album is released so it's hard for singles to peak high. Edited February 9 by duybeeGAshantiGA
Gerardo Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Like people have said already I’d rather this going #2 and flopping but the album being great I agree that the era looks rushed and it obviously was, but I don’t think that’ll be the case for the music, if anything she loved the album and it was liked by her team so they decided to put it out as fast as they could 3

The lead struggled to go #1 with a lot of hype, there’s no guarantee that the 2nd single would go #1 or even top 5 She has a good following so the 2nd will probably go #1 with the album hype, two #1s in one album is her best so far (TUN) and tying it would be amazing

But if she was releasing a second single before the album it’s unlikely she would release another single on the day the album drops, that would be too many singles in a short space of time. Bare in mind the album drops in less than a month
