Communion Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 This would have been a cute cover on its own - which makes sense why it's the back, I guess ddd.

Maybe 4-6 days already that I havent played it a single time. It feels so boring. It's polly one of her songs that have the least amount of replay value. I mean songs like No Tears Left to Cry, Break Free, God Issa Woman, etc. I can still listen today and find them kinda fresh. Edited February 8, 2024 by duybeeGAshantiGA 2

This is actually really really good and lowkey iconic / unique. I cant stand tje fact that for many times, fans have better visual ideas than our faves/their design team.
Sweetenertea Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Anyone know if these tracks are real? track 11: I wish I could hate you applying pressure (song or part of a lyric)
Sweetenertea Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Also apparently some people have the album
El Nino Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Everything this era looks cheap with a budget of $2. It's giving flop era.

What other era(s) of hers that looked expensive? I think ALL of her eras are like that when you think about it. Unless you stan someone else, I think Ari is like that and will be for the rest of her career. When I really think about it, this is prolly one of the thingss she got inspired by Mariah: doing cheap ass and basic shoots for albums, it seems like they want to tell you "hey im a vocalist, you need to focus on my voice only": Edited February 8, 2024 by duybeeGAshantiGA

Spoilers for who haven’t watched it yet.. so the movie is about 2 lovers who broke up and each one of them is erasing their memories of each other. The girl in the movie is very fun and spontaneous and charming (very much ari) while her boyfriend is very shy and boring and not much of a talker (kinda dalton a bit) The movie is very sad but also about living in the moment and cherishing the memories, despite how much they hurt. also at the end of the movie, both of them say “ bye “ to each other… track 2 is definitely about this specific scene (very sad scene tbh) so yeah… i enjoyed it so much and i think it’s an important piece of the album. 1 month to go!! mxoonlight Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 (edited) I love the red vinyl cover, it feels like she’s trying to give a Ru/90’s callback but of course her fans are fully Gen Z TikTok-addicted goofs making memes 😭 the Arianator struggle will truly never go away Edited February 8, 2024 by mxoonlight
ariananext Posted February 8, 2024 Author Posted February 8, 2024 I want to pre-order the vinyl and I love cover #2 but I also want to see the last one before picking one 1
raven Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 I'm still excited to hear the album but this era has kinda given nothing for me so far between the subpar covers, lukewarm lead, and promo silence 3

wantedyoutogrow Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 (edited) can she at least start unveiling the “surprises” she was talking about? edit: when the surprises end up being the rest of the tracklist and the last album cover variant… Edited February 8, 2024 by wantedyoutogrow 1 1

I hope so. If she was gonna do this "body of work" era, she should've just released the album a couple weeks after yes and? cause the single clearly isn't building any hype at this point and we're still a month out. Like even the positions album rollout was better than this Edited February 8, 2024 by raven 1 2

Like even the positions album rollout has been better than this gdlkdgj IDK... her literally keeping the promo to one week, us begging for music videos for a month or two and then her disappearing for the rest of the year after the deluxe came out with that shitty Q&A until whenever the Vevo performances came out is not a bar I want to praise and was actually sadistic on her part I would've liked a live performance by now but getting her to even acknowledge her music career (positively!) and us getting tons of photoshoot content after is progress (I'm delusional). Hoping she's got something good planned for this month but I totally get why and agree with it being a little underwhelming so far. 1
cityfolk Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 this era is serving complete bomb but I'm just going to enjoy the music
Blue Monday Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 (edited) I can't believe they're just letting yes, and? die Edited February 8, 2024 by Blue Monday

Quality wise I really need the album to be exceptional, cus it's just been a bummer as a fan

State of Grace. Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 I think she should have released the entire album at once since she's clearly pushing it as a concept album/wants the audience to have a full listening experience, or maybe a similar roll-out to Positions with the album coming a week after the lead. If you're not going to get your ass on different stageS to perform the song, do some talk shows, create some hype, etc then having a ~2 months gap feels a bit extra. I guess they want to maximize pre-orders/vinyl sales but like....they are not gonna sell themselves ms ponytail. I do like the BTS stuff we're getting so far, and the song is still on repeat for me personally, but I want more! 1

No point in waiting months if you're not planning on doing anything to entertain people in those two months. It just doesn't seem like it was well thought. She really said they hated the quick era last time so I'm just gonna give them a longer but empty wait 1 1

It will have maybe 2.5 singles like Positions and the "era" will be over by April. Lets just sit and wait for the "one or two surprises" to hold us over now 1
