ultraviolence.xx Posted February 1 Posted February 1 i am SO excited for this album now omfg. i mean i had faith but hearing her talk about it makes it seem so intentional and artful and i can't waittttt 1 1
Taste of Honey Posted February 1 Posted February 1 That's cool to watch. Also interesting to see how when you get to a certain level you really can call the shots.

It’s seems to be she wrote everything and Max just helped with production. I can just feel that this album is gonna be so different for her and I'm so excited. 2

wantedyoutogrow Posted February 1 Posted February 1 i’m hoping she drops a documentary of the making of the album 4
State of Grace. Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I also believe she just meant that some songs will playing different parts that people expect from her. Like "yes, and?" being automatically linked to the homewrecking controversy. Excited to see the rest 2 1

Well she started working on the album right when the news came out and she was getting dragged for weeks... I guess I interpreted it as "playing up the idea that people have of me" 2
KasioKas Posted February 1 Posted February 1 9 minutes ago, kindararenext said: that got me so hyped See what a little promo can do? I appreciate the immense hard work that goes into creating the art but no one is going to promote the art but the musician and I just wish she made a little more effort in that area. It's not like a tv/movie release where other cast members or crew can promote in lieu of the lead talent. At the very least post more videos talking about the album like this to create that hype. 5
Nashe Posted February 1 Posted February 1 ahhh that's what I wanted/needed. I just know this will be her magnum opus emotional midtempos and ballads + a couple synth bangers is exactly what I expected 1
Nashe Posted February 1 Posted February 1 btw I think it's pretty much guaranteed by now that she wrote all of the lyrics by herself 1
Johnathon Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Have a strong feeling this is going to be experimental like Sweetener was at the time 2

Also vulnerable is great, "playing the part that people kind of expect me to be" i'm not sure what that means? pop/rnb? I immediately thought of the whole opposite. Aka some of her fans criticizing Positions and wanting her to go full pop. And that would explain the choice of YA as a single.

Supervillain Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Oh wow that video she posted got me so hyped. I really love when artists are deeply involved into their art and can talk about it without hesitation. 3 1
raven Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I thought that "playing the part people expect of her" means there will be some bops that people have come to expect from "popstar Ariana" (i.e. yes and?) 4

It’s not like we’re getting 80’s The Weeknd or Conan Gray songs (I hope!) 1

I agree. It felt she was saying “I’ll play the popstar game again” even if she doesn’t like it

This made me excited After hearing the album is vulnerable, I'm praying there's tracks reminiscent of imagine/needy/ghostin. I'd be so happy, her music is peak when she channels her emotions into music Edited February 1 by whiteferrari 4
judasmonster Posted February 1 Posted February 1 watching the album pitch made me more excited for the album .. it will definitely be in the same vein of sweetener with more pop singles but the rest of the tracks will be more vulnerable or probably experimental 1
