Saud Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I’m about to watch the movie she’s inspired by for this album (eternal sunshine of the spotless mind) I think it’ll give us a really good insight about the album
ariananext Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 Yeah, she could do some magazine interviews at the very least, everybody does that at the beginning of the roll-out. She hasn't been on a magazine cover since Thank U Next era in August 2019, US Vogue with that horrible beach photoshoot of three pictures. And it was the only one of the whole era. Half a decade ago 1

Half a decade ago Agreed! Troye (also managed by Brandon) had such a good rollout with just magazine covers. I hope her new team can convince her to do more promo without burning herself out 1

I hope her new team can convince her to do more promo without burning herself out Yeah, I remember when Demi came back with Dancing With The Devil she had like 10 magazine covers come out in a 3 days span. She does a hundred photoshoots for REM Beauty and her perfumes, I don't see what's difficult in doing 1/3 of that for her upcoming album considering that's her main career. 1
ATRL Moderator Azulito Posted January 31 ATRL Moderator Posted January 31 I imagine she'll do a few covers for March so they should out at the end of February. We really need a performance though. She needs to book SNL
grwntify Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I really hope that she will be the cover of a big magazine or go to talk shows (jimmy fallon) it feels that she is back but nobody knows

Like god……. I know this narrative is tired but every modern pop era seems so boring. Everybody is too nervous or too lazy to do anything. Like even a Chicken Shop Date or an interview with Ziwe……or like a livestream performance. Ariana is literally one of the biggest pop stars in the world but it sure doesn’t feel like it. Like there’s soooo many ways one can do promo now but……nobody does anything other than a TikTok/twitter post and an inexpensive music video. Or in Nicki’s case making fun of a deceased mother. One of the reasons why pop is dead as hell. 2
perfectillusion204 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I think they wanted to see the reception to this song before they planned a bunch of promo around it / Wicked reshoots were happening anyway. Since it's obviously not a super smasher, I think they'll just let it run its course. And she'll probably release the 2nd single a week before the album or week of album. And that will be the monster hit we're waiting for 1
kindararenext Posted January 31 Posted January 31 i just don’t get the purpose of waiting nearly two months to drop the album if she’s not gonna promote it outside of social media i think a shorter rollout would’ve benefited her in this case
Jude Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) The long wait is obviously because they want to get pre-orders as many as possible, and it will be enough time to produce those physical copies. But yeah, long wait for an album is boring without anything going on. Edited February 1 by Jude 2
Sweetenertea Posted February 1 Posted February 1 this is sooo annoying. Like obviously we are going expect a bit more promotion, that’s her job. 😭 She didn’t have to release an album during this time, but she is. 2 1
My20sBlues Posted February 1 Posted February 1 By now she should know that yes, and? had a short life, she should be warming up for the second single
ATRL Moderator Azulito Posted February 1 ATRL Moderator Posted February 1 A little BTS clip, she called it a concept album https://www.instagram.com/p/C2z4uQKOjea/ 4 1
Gerardo Posted February 1 Posted February 1 The video made me so excited, she seems super focused, drived and with ambition, can’t wait 2
wantedyoutogrow Posted February 1 Posted February 1 her saying she wants to focus on ES in the first half of the year makes me think she actually has planned out era
Gerardo Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Takeaways from the vid; She started working on it as soon as the strike started. She wanted to release it the first half of this year, her team/Republic allowed her. It’s a concept album with a story in the tracklist, however it’s not exactly in order, it’s from an experience but also some fiction of what people think she should act/be, very emotional. Looks like she worked on the album alone a lot, she worked with Max one week and then alone, and then another week in October with him. It’s seems to be she wrote everything and Max just helped with production. Edited February 1 by Gerardo 4
raven Posted February 1 Posted February 1 yeah i really hope she has some promo slots lined up and not even for the numbers, just for additional content to enjoy 3
KasioKas Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) "First half of next yr" welp so is she dropping this and moving on to wicked promo from July roughly? Also vulnerable is great, "playing the part that people kind of expect me to be" i'm not sure what that means? pop/rnb? Edited February 1 by KasioKas
