Cruel Summer Posted March 23 Posted March 23 This album has turned into a constant soundtrack for me lately. I've been returning to the title track a lot more than I anticipated on my first listen. Pieces of I Wish I Hated You play in my head over and over - I think it captures the complexities of reflection so perfectly, without trying too hard to be deep. It's so gentle for showcasing such a complicated feeling. And more than anything else, I actually find myself putting Supernatural - both versions - on repeat endlessly. I think it's my current frontrunner for my most played song of the year. There's really nobody else who could have made those tracks or the other highlights of the album. It all just has that perfect Ari energy that her best work has always had. The overall sound of the album seems really contemplative to me, if that makes sense - a lot of it feels like stepping outside the rest of the world for a second to take a breather, to reflect, and to look toward the future. I needed that, so it's nice to have had this album come along. 11
ThousandMiles Posted March 23 Posted March 23 i've come to the conclusion that don't wanna break up again is the best song on the album 4
Gerardo Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) I didn't listen to the album for like two days because uni had me stressed with hw and I listened to it today and it felt magical, it felt like a safe place Edited March 23 by Gerardo 2
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted March 23 Posted March 23 The more I listen to this album, the more it gets better, and the more vinyl variants I buy 1
Nashe Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I remember yeaaarsss agoo when there was a thread (here or on another forum) with the topic of "Who's going to remain from this generation of pop girls like 10-20 yrs from now?". I think it was at around 2017/end of DW era and I was so convinced it would be Ari bcuz she's so beautiful, ethereal, talented and determined, in a way reminding me of Celine Dion and Beyonce. And many ppl then were so obnoxious and rude about my opinion. And look where we are babes, she's been a consistent hitmaker for a whole decade now, only getting better and growing in terms of popularity like only a few do. Checkmate 3
Jude Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Benson Boone took over the top spot of global Spotify. It was fun while it lasted.

To me, it perfectly captures being out of the sad/heartbroken phase of a breakup where you're able to look back and reflect on what went down with clarity and from a place of healing so you can move forward.

laqqinq Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Let's try and keep the song stable. Metro & Future's album might occupy a few spots in the top 10 (maybe 2–3 at least) + who knows, one of Olivia's bonus tracks might go top ten, and Hozier also released the new EP. Hopefully WCBF can stay in the top 5 next week
Phoenixstar Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Still loving this album after a while. I would say these are two three for me (not in order) We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love) Imperfect For You Don't Wanna Break Up Again/Eternal Sunshine 2
Phoenixstar Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I might be in the minority but I don't get the hype behind tbim, apart from the slow down chorus, which is great but the song itself is just there, only. 1 1
Aristocrat Posted March 23 Posted March 23 wonder if she has any upcoming plans for any type of promo, performances, etc or if she's just gonna keep posting pics from the we can't be friends video over and over 8

wantedyoutogrow Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I just noticed that the WCBF and TBIM sounds are gone from Tik Tok but the ES (s) sounds are still on there, like even Tik Tok knew they had to respect the #gag but on a more negative note it's kinda infuriating that this is the first time she could've potentially had multiple songs go viral on the platform (intro, wcbf, tbim, es) UMG decided they want to be stingy
