What she has gone through in her life has been beyond traumatic and the fact that she has come out the other side, smiling, grounded - I love it for her. The fact that the album is such a success is the cherry on the top Yep, plus if you think about it her biggest successes, ME and TUN, happened when she was at her lowest. She was exhausted and overworked during ME, and traumatized during TUN, I think that's what she was talking about last week when she said that for a long time she didn't want to promote her albums, do interviews etc. She probably linked success to negativity. I hope this new chapter will be completely different and can change the perception of her career that she has. 5 minutes ago, AMIT said: yeah tbh I kinda hate y'all for bopping to the l**k because it's such a standout for me and I don't see enough praise for it now the BELTING on the chorus Same, I never check out leaks and I hate that nobody cares about True Love, it's Top 3 on the album for me! 5

She’s singing about similar topics but she feels much more re-assured in her self and not singing from an “unsafe” place emotionally anymore. I like that. 34 minutes ago, ariananext said: Same thing I noticed a couple of days ago, and you can see that in the live performances at SNL too. Back in 2019 she was always shrinking on herself when she sang emotional songs, now she seems very confident while also conveying all the emotion. This is my favorite thing about the album. Her ability to remain so warm and positive despite the insane amount of trauma she's been through is so amazing. I really like to think of Sweetener/TUN and this album as "sister albums". She's continuously poured so much of herself into these albums and this one specifically feels so raw, healing, and cathartic. She's even more mature, cautious, and confident this time. It's like her life is finally not upside down and she's standing on top of the series of unfortunate events from the last ~7 years or so. She seems in a much better place mentally, even though she's most likely going to carry certain events like Mac's passing with her forever, and she's at least aware of it. Her saying that she most likely will never sing I Wish I Hated You live hurts a biT, but I understand it. That's the ghostin' of this album. Edited March 11 by State of Grace. 5

Jude Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Not bad. Wish she could sign more copies for that 100k pure sales.
Jude Posted March 11 Posted March 11 From 3M to 4M on a Sunday. Is she rising to #1 artist on Spotify today?
Jude Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Nevermind, Taylor had 10M more streams. It's gonna be hard to top that (unless Ariana gains so much today).
BMURDA617 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Can confirm: blasting Bye with the windows down in the car on a sunny day absolutely SLAPS. 1
Lovett Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I'm developing a real obsession with "Bye" at the moment. It's the song for me on the album right now. 1
