KasioKas Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) I'm most impressed with the lyricism and cohesiveness of this album. She's evolved massively in the past couple years and i'm sooooo pleased It's a damn shame that her best work comes from her hardest life moments because she seems like a sweetheart but she's done a terrific job of living through those experiences and converting it into money-making hits every time. Like, it's just sooooo good, espescially with so few collaborators this time. It's top 2 albums in her discog for me thus far honestly. My only wish was that the final chorus in ES was belting (but let me sit with it for a bit longer), and there were bigger vocal moments because I like those from her so much, but i'll live with out it this time and the softness and melodic choices more than make up for it.. So impressed Edited March 8 by KasioKas 6
JonginBey Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Gosh, this is such a good album! The way we went from all those “I haven’t started working on the album” troll remarks, meanwhile she was in the studio cooking a FEAST. 1

frankvert Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Top 3 after first listen: we can’t be friends, true story, eternal sunshine
Jamie Starr Posted March 8 Posted March 8 What an emotional first listen. I'm currently going through a rough patch in my relationship and this album hits a little too close to home. It's making me rethink so much in my relationship that I glossed over. Sweetener marked the beginning and I hope EA doesn't mark the ending. This painfully beautiful album will be in constant rotation, even if it's bittersweet. 1
