If i said positions sounded ghetto would I be projecting ? Because I did. And I’m not ghetto. It’s Just my opinion. I love the new album it just feels sadder/darker than all of her others to me.
Jpkun Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I like 'Supernatural' and the run from 'we can't be friends' to 'imperfect for you'. Interclude is crap and still hate 'yes, and' and dont like ''bye'. Middle of the album excluding supernatural is a bit mid-slightly better than mid. Would give album overall 4/5. Better than I expected it to be given my feelings about the lead single. Also still can't believe she's choosing to push that to #1 TTH over something else...
Kawaii Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Im on the title track, #5, its giving the feels i had with positions album so far. I like what ive heard, i know the more i listen these songs are gonna grow on me. I dont wanna speak too too soon cause i havent heard everything yet.
favorite crime Posted March 8 Posted March 8 crazy how yes and is the worst song. she's usually great at picking leads 1
ReachInsideMe Posted March 8 Posted March 8 The album is good, it just hasn’t blown me away Will give it another few listens before I fully make my mind up.
Bewitched Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I wonder how Ariana even found out about Diana Garland for the interlude. she hasn’t posted anything on YouTube since 2020 but I’m assuming she’s alive and well considering she had to have been contacted for permission for her voice.
Timeless Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Just listened to the album and here's my ranking bye supernatural the boy is mine don’t wanna break up again i wish i hated you ordinary things yes, and? true story we can’t be friends (wait for your love) eternal sunshine imperfect for you intro (end of the world)
Timeless Posted March 8 Posted March 8 This is easily her best album. A perfect story from start to beginning with no skips. A very mature, emotional album. This deserves all the critical success
Mydilemma2.0 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 wait where is she talking about Delton still haven't heard the album
Dragonfly Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) Bye and Supernatural are my clear standouts Still not sure which of the final tracks I like best Edited March 8 by Dragonfly

Nashe Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Ladies and gentlemen, a masterpiece. I woke up at 4.30 to enjoy it before work and I'm still shook to the core 5 hours later. Her magnum opus. I'm shattered.
Nico Robin Posted March 8 Posted March 8 nawt the album being 36 minutes only Just woke up, ready for my first listen
pinkbowvintage Posted March 8 Posted March 8 WAIT did she just out Dalton as bi in Eternal Sunshine?? "now HE'S in your bed and laying on your chest"

Nashe Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I'm sure af the album will grow on those who don't get it yet. It's so Sweetener 2nd half-coded with way more r&b vibes than I expected, but this time it's much more passionate and emotional unlike on positions. 1
Club classic Posted March 8 Posted March 8 oh Ari this is such a heartbreaking explanation of everything
pinkbowvintage Posted March 8 Posted March 8 This is a masterpiece. I've had it spinning for HOURS. 1 5

wigglytuffer Posted March 8 Posted March 8 The instrumental in "bye" is just insane, the theatre kid jumped out there! Overall her best work based on first listen, I'll see if it holds up against Positions and Sweetener but feels incredible to have new Ariana music that's cohesive, lyrically raw and overall brilliant <3 4
