I was ready for inevitable disappointment,

after the masterpiece that was Positions

but I'm really enjoying this so far :heart2:

Just skip Yes, and? and we're good

I love her vocals on this one, sooo dreamy, it really adds a lot to the overall sound

after being disappointed with positions im glad for this album, it fixes a lot of my issues with her last era and just generally has a very pretty vibe to it

We can't be friends is like One More time and Dancing on my Own had a child.  Such a career highlight ️

In wcbf, I was wondering what she meant by "cling to your paper and pens" then I remember Dalton is a real estate agent. Oh my god mind blown.

is wcbf not about ethan? i thought it was :deadbanana:

"I don't wanna tiptoe but I don't wanna hide
But I don't wanna feed this monstrous fire
Just wanna let this story die"

"Not what you made me
It's somethin' like a daydream
But I feel so seen in the night"

her voice in this sounds so much more mature and controlled, whatever wicked did for her worked

I love how it nods to the movie's score

Why is her sound so stuck nowadays? Looking back, there was a shoter gap between Sweetener and TUN (~1 year) yet they sounded distinctive from one another. Can't say the same about this album. It feels like Positions with a few extra steps. Kinda disappointed.

what :ahh:

Just relistened and its simply her best album.

Well it's not BAD. Just not a big pop album, more likely a cute little diary for those who care :pancake:

Maybe I thought I cared more than I really do then.

I'm sorry, but third listen is not happening today.

The Boy Is Mine is literally groundbreaking, serious 90s vibes with a modern twist :clap3::flame:

Should have been the lead single tbh

We can finally say yes to this page. :clack:

My only issue with the album thus far is the highs are kinda mid, kind of like Positions. It’s better than Positions but marginally.

Sweetener > DW > ES > Positions > TUN > YT = ME

Swifties calm down, this album is just as anemic and boring as Midnights

I think the “just wanna let this story die” refers to her marriage and the “wait for your love” is about how they still haven’t met who they’re actual meant for, plus the music video will be about her forgetting her memories about an ex, just like they did in the movie, I’m more inclined to think it’s about Dalton

the boy is mine is probably the best on the album :michael:
