I’ve waited her whole career for this since I first stanned Yours Truly as a teenager. idc I’m emotional about it Its literally Yours Truly meets ME, DW, TUN, Positions + Sweetner... like its all her albums combined but polished and pop perfection. She ******* did it. I'm in TEARS.
JayG Posted March 8 Posted March 8 The way she is RIDING THE BEAT on the boy is mine. With that ******* synth?! 1

Slayn Posted March 8 Posted March 8 how dare someone say anything like this sounds like erotica, that had me too hyped. this is not her best, not her worst.
LustSpell Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I just realized what we can't be friends (wait for your love) sounds like.. It's literally synthpop back in the vein of Do What U Want, Style, Love Me Harder, Warm Blood, and True Disaster. I'm surprised it took me so long to remember 1
vinicius Posted March 8 Posted March 8 The lyrics and the production are her best. I get why she wanted to present the album with only one single. This is a very cohesive body of work that tells a story. It’s very linear. But I truly missed strong melodies. I feel like she was more focused on the production and lyrical content. Sweetener still is my favorite, but I hope this one grows on me more. Need to listen again.
toast Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) I've liked individual songs from the last 3 albums, but this is the first album of hers I've loved since Dangerous Woman Edited March 8 by toast 1
Aristocrat Posted March 8 Posted March 8 this album is so great i was scared based off some of the descriptions but it really feels like if you combined the best parts of every ariana album and combined them into one. i hear everything from yours truly influences and some of her older vocal style to positions vibes. the main standouts for me off the first listen are the title track, the boy is mine, and don't wanna breakup again. cant wait to sit with the album for the next few weeks nonstop and learn it inside and out. 1
