Scandalous Posted March 6 Posted March 6 i can’t believe how under wraps this whole thing is - even those descriptions of the sound are quite vague 1
boxoffice Posted March 6 Posted March 6 2 DAYS also, about that “review”… not really worried about the taste of someone that said Doctor was a big hit. 1

Per the credits, there's no samples besides possibly some Youtuber talking. An interpolation doesnt have to be credited. Also saying that "come on...Vogue" isn't similar to "yes...and?" is crazy. Yes And? also sounds more like Vogue than Born This Way sounds like Express Yourself. 1

We also got like 20+ Pharrell leaks. Also Max's was the only one where NEW post-Positions material leaked. i'm not saying tommy leaked the songs himself but ariana seems to take leaks very personal and the fact that tommy has 0 security probably made her not trust to work with him anymore to an extent. it happened to melanie martinez who had her entire album leaked and remade it with different producers. 1

They also said the same thing about Lil Nas X’s first single. I even remember when Mr S dragged “7 rings” and said it would be a huge failure before it was released At the end of the day, everyone’s ear is different so I always take these insiders review or opinions with a grain of salt 6
Jjang Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I don’t have a problem with Pop music. I have a problem with run of the mill Pop music. Especially 12 years into your career / 7th studio album. I want growth not complacency. 7 1 3

wildsidenormani Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Zane Lowe tomorrow, Zach Sang Part 2 Friday, SNL on Saturday...WE WON 1
Aristocrat Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Finally a REAL interview, not just Zach Sang and his corny nothingness questions 1
wantedyoutogrow Posted March 6 Posted March 6 March 7th: Zane Lowe interview March 8th: album + Zach Sang part 2 March 9th: SNL March 10th: Oscars she just needs a Jimmy Fallon/Kimmel interview and performance and release week will be perfect 9 1

Everytime/Goodnight N Go/Thinkin' Bout You/Ghostlin feels more of the "pop" this album is infused with. Not me loving every single one of these tracks I’m really about to be winning aren’t i?!

frankvert Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Finally a full album interview with Ari & Zane. She made it Also on all the sonic discourse, everything is subjective anyway. The user saying Doctor sounds like a hit (which I agree with) obviously will NEVER correlate with how that song will perform on the charts. However I think their claims are at least on the right path, given how accurate they were with the Yes, and description. Ari is my 2nd most listened to artist EVER - I’ve been following her since Victorious and all her albums have been soundtracks to those points in time in my life (Positions to a lesser extent). Yes, and did absolutely NOTHING for me (listened to it a few times on release week & deleted it from my library). But obviously I’m still going to listen to the album in full on Friday and form my own opinion. Let the games begin Edited March 6 by frankvert 1
Burqa Posted March 6 Posted March 6 tbh I was hopping for an Apple Music performance + Zane Lowe interview but I guess we can't really complain i desperately need Jimmy Fallon tho, they get along so well it's always nice to watch them together 2

SweetenerNostalgia Posted March 6 Posted March 6 the way despite the descriptions/reviews from insiders and fans i still don't know what to expect from the album has me more excited. I mean, the descriptions have me very confused, some say that it sounds like the second part of swt, others that there is an interpolation to robyn, others that it sounds quite different from everything she did, and then that it is generic europop mall music All the descriptions are so vague and it kinda fascinates me. Jude Posted March 6 Posted March 6 An interview the day before the album release. She knows how to hype us up.

nasa Posted March 6 Posted March 6 My only fear is that she won't really be discussing the music in details because she doesn't want any spoilers before the release but then again what else is she going to talk about with Mr. Apple Music himself? perched nonetheless 2
