album Julia Holter - 'Something in the Room She Moves'

A step down from Aviary for me btw I love the duality between chaos and calmness that one has. It starts as pure chaos and slowly blossoms into Julia's most beautiful compositions. Past Another Dream the album suddenly becomes a ******* beast of a beauty. the piano songs and the crescendos are her best ever. This new one is so good, but I can only see reaching Ekstasis level for me right now

Aviary has her best song (Words I Heard) but half of it is unlistenable

I don't get what people don't like about this, it's pretty good

It was alright. Spinning is the best track. Meyou is alright but it will never be Medúlla or Tanya Tagaq or whatever.

 

Overall more listenable than Aviary.
