Vermillion Posted January 9 Posted January 9 After all her controversies, she’s certainly not going on a Chained to the Rhythm route this election year. Her tour will do fine with lower ticket prices in a dozen or so arenas, but how she plans to ride millennial nostalgia elsewhere is beyond me because all her reinventions just prior to supporting Joe Rogan and Rick Caruso flopped. I never liked her or her vocal aesthetic but I’m genuinely curious how she’ll attempt this, with what, and what will succeed. If her fanbase was as loyal as some of the other girls, her attempts to change wouldn’t have bombed so massively. She might pull a Miley with a lead that’s everywhere and the follow-ups bomb (which won’t matter ultimately), but the pop girls are in a weird place at the moment. As for Dr. Luke, Doja was always an incel-loving wildchild off the rails who could afford to continue working with him. Katy can’t afford that backlash despite people here saying she has nothing to lose in working with him. If this comeback fails, she has her fortune from her catalogue sale, so don’t feel bad for her. She can finally accept being the Paula Abdul of the late 2000’s dance-pop renaissance. 1 4 1 9
Da Vinci Posted January 9 Posted January 9 She looks good in those pics. She deserves her Flowers moment 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted January 9 Posted January 9 OMGGG world tour and album The Emancipation of Katy Perry is NEAR
HEAVYONIT Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Katy and Gaga are single-handedly responsible for running Pop in the 2010s era and there will be RESPECT put on their names! I am perched for this album!! 7 2

Sexyzinger Posted January 9 Posted January 9 It doesn’t even say she is announcing a world tour and album. Just teasing a return to music
vale9001 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) People hating on Smile and then liking Teenage Dream is just "what Is bigger Is Better". If you don't like her music at all is a thing but saying that is terribile while TG or Prism are good makes no sense. Edited January 9 by vale9001 2 1
thismoment Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I’m not moving till I see an official announcement, enough with the vague teasing
MasterExpose Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I hope it's something good because Rise was the last song I listened from her on replay. I still think that sound was good. 2
