Any official source for this, probably not? But still you're here, wagging your filthy tongues.

This dying festival probably can’t afford her. When was their last good show?

I mean I’m all here for her having a successful bounce back era, but look at the ones attending these concerts. Majority is influencers coked out gen z on some sort of party drug. Maybe is a blessing in disguise for her if this is true.

I find really hard to believe she would actually rehearse and perform a two hour headlining show with the mic on, we all know how she is :deadbanana:

There's so much drama over a festival that is mainly known for the instagram/tik tok culture and to show off outfits so who cares?

Reading this thread i was informed that unless you perform for drugged out Tik Tokers and indie bandwagoners at some California festival you are not considered a "legend" so maybe aspiring newcomer Isabel Ripoll is better off with another Rock In Rio in the near future.

I don't get why she would approach them when there's not even an album announcement yet  7 years since her last studio album :toofunny3:

Shakira is very popular in Europe and Latin America but not in the US, I guess this is their reasoning because I don't see any other reason.

I'm sure Shakira really doesn't care. She already performed on bigger platforms and at this point can buy Coachella if she wanted too.

Coachella makes $120 in revenue every year and is worth even more overall and Spain has already taken millions from her ,so yeah she can't buy it ...

Wait was she pursuing to do Coachella?

You don’t know her finances. She sold her catalog for many many millions.

Their only recent decent performer was doja

The Weeknd, Billie, and especially Benito are not good performers. The last one doesn’t even make actual music

She's one of the richest Latin artist of all time. With yrs of endorsement and other revenues  I'm pretty sure she can. Her 2023 estimated net worth alone is 300 million.

Localchella can shove it up their crusty boomer 75% retirement home population asses

But as a Shaki fan I get it — she hasn't released a studio album since 2017 and that's on her. She won Grammy (the mainstream Anglo award, not just merely the Latin Grammy) with that last album, so she has no excuse not to put out another album. I understand why she's hesitant to work on a new one if her last one failed, but that's not the case. So she should get her act together and work on a new one instead of enriching and propping up other artists' albums with constant collabs. As for the trio headlineers chosen instead of her, well, they are meh. Not bad, but not better than Shak either.

Shakira is 46 years old herself. Some of y'all are pretending that she's the same age as Rosalia or something

She probably asked for too much money.

Well, she IS indeed working on an album and according to her we already have 8 songs off of it (which are most likely Te Felicito, Dont You Worry, Monotonia, Session #53, TQG, Acrostico, Copa Vacia and El Jefe). Its just a matter of time before its released!

That's what happens when your last album was 7 years ago and you refuse to release English music.

Her Spanish music is superior, what's your point.

She paid something like $14M, do you really think she is only worth a few millions? This site has the dumbest takes sometimes :skull:

Who said she's worth a few millions?  she's worth 300mil but that's still not how much cash she has. And like I said Coachella makes 120mil in revenue a year but it's worth way more, she can't afford it.

I think the point is that Shakira is very rich and isn’t struggling for money because of Coachella saying no. Nobody is seriously expecting Shakira to buy Coachella. :rip:

She has already performed on much bigger stages, including the Super Bowl, Rock in Rio, and three World Cup finales.
