GardenPanty Posted January 12 Posted January 12 if Eternal Sunshine is a mix of R&B and gay classics then I will be stanning in full force 1
Tasty Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's alright, sounds like an ok album cut, but then again I didn't like most of positions so it's something.
Kool_Aid_King Posted January 12 Posted January 12 NTLTC = TUN > DW > Problem > Positions > YA > TW But it's still really good. The melodyne glitch I feel like it was intentional since it happens at 1:14 as well

It is real concern. Ariana is one of my consistently most streamed artists. I've gone to her tours. I don't necessarily agree with her personal life, but that's none of my business. I like the music and I can normally separate the two. However, 'yes, and' is meant as her response to the 'critics,' as we can see in the music video teaser. I'm sure there'll be other songs on the album I like, but this song is a miss for me. I'm all for self-empowerment. I just think this song is a misread of the room when people are saying "you slept with a married man..." and her response is "yes, and?" or "you have an eating disorder or look unhealthy..." "yes, and?". If you look past the things people are saying about her - sure it's a cute song... but when you hear the song in the context of what it's actually about... I don't know. 1 1

Girl this has nothing to do with your original comment. I don't love the song either, you said she has an ED for sure and I said that if she did (as she had this same body at 20 years old 10 years ago) we would know by now, I don't know why you went on to talk about the song. I'm so sorry that you can't deduct that on your own. And it is to some degreee irresponsible of her to be flaunting that in this song. Sounds like you're the one who needs some help, licensed or not 2

HandsToMyself Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) This sounds like the type of song ATRL or Popheads would love but isn’t my type of song. I really like the intro and the chorus is alright but doesn’t really hit for me - it’s just there but isn’t instantly catchy and the “yes, and?” melody feels flat. Compared to positions (the song) which became my favourite Ariana song ever bc of its insanely melodic and catchy chorus. I’m sure there are other songs on the album I’ll like more though, especially with Max Martin and his team involved Edited January 12 by HandsToMyself
Abracadabra Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Was them forgetting the question mark in the song title in the video teaser intentional or? Edited January 12 by Miichael
MaxMartin Posted January 12 Posted January 12 y'all I switched , I like it now! Probably not my fav lead from her but it's still hit material. I still have issues with the chorus not being punchy enough and her delivery/tone though
LittleDreamer Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is excellent. Positions (song) was great as well, but this has some new flavor for Ari. Excited for the album!

It does have to do with my original comment, because the song is a response to what people are saying about her...and people are saying she's a home wrecker and has an ED. Her body has changed in the past 10 years. I'm not going to bother with receipts because it's so clear. I stand by my comments. If she is 'healthy' and you and she believes that... great. But it's not normal to have your bones projecting through your skin like that. My concerns remain - I just want her to be healthy. 4
Strawberry Bubble Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's a cute song. Hope it has longevity on the charts.
