GeminiCat Posted January 12 Posted January 12 A punchier hook and powerhouse vocal instead of the light, airy delivery would've done this song wonders. Those are my main problems, I don't even mind the longer intro. 1
Lil Mxnster Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's like an AI had mixed Madonna's Vogue and Flos' Amén, which is cool!
KeirGrey Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I want to hear a version with deep vocals but i love it still
Eat The Acid Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Ariana saving pop music ! This will be a career defining era. Omg. This song will shift music this direction. Damn. She came to play! 2
dirrtydiana Posted January 12 Posted January 12 We know she can belt, we know she can do catchy hooks. Let her experiment y’all begged her to work with max Martin again and stop the trap and r&b and she delivered for the gheys stop bitching 8 2
Starkboy Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The song is a vibe and half. my only complaint? The chorus should have hit harder
dawnettakins Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) It's very good! Much better than I was expecting tbh. I'm glad the rumors were true about its sound, and that Ari is returning to more of a dance pop sound again. Officially perched for the album. Edited January 12 by dawnettakins
TayDuaStan Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Wtf is this? No way she released something worse than 34+35 as a lead. The beat and the verses are amazing but that spoken chorus, AWFUL. Max Martin lost it. Where’s the catchiness? I expected an earworm type of chorus (after those verses) and i just got a headache. The bridge . Positions era, perhaps I treated you too harshly 1 3
willmcclure9 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The intro is so fantastic now we need the 8 min extended ver.

Dear Reader Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I really have a feeling this will be one of her best albums, if not the best 1

Timeless Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I absolutely LOVEEEEEE this. It's a massive bop and I can already tell this is going to do so well on the radio. You lot will switch up so fast once we see the streaming numbers 2
Dear Reader Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is 100% if motive and Be Alright had a baby, it’s a whole gay anthem, I love it 2 1
MaxMartin Posted January 12 Posted January 12 okay there are 3 main problems here: - Her tone is too light , very airy , it doesn't feel like her - The instrumental is too loud and with her whispery tone you can barely hear the melody during the chorus. - The final chorus lacks some strings and some proper final explosion. I'm a bit disappointed , Gloss & Fantasize sounded so good this falls a bit flat. It will grow on me for sure 1
Sailor Moon Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's not my cup of tea, but I like it a lot. I hope the MV will elevate the song.
Comedor Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Her vocal delivery ruined the song. I never thought I’d be typing this. Back to the recording booth, we need a vocal remix. 4 1
NEUTRON Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) this is her first lead that I'm not completely feeling. the chorus is cute but its missing something and the spoken rap bit is terrible. her singing (can't believe I'm saying this) is so boring on here. she was supposed to take us to church 😡 Edited January 12 by NEUTRON 2
