wildsidenormani Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) From the same user on the forum that l3aked the chorus lyrics: Spoiler "After hearing it a couple of times, theres something about it that reminds me of "Motive", from her last album. Not sonically, but the way she pauses for half a second after every other word. But i guess it can be said about a lot of her songs? lol but theres a very distinctive, ariana-ish, way the song is delivered." Edited January 9 by wildsidenormani 5

Spoiler Not Motive's aborted 3rd verse being her rehearsing for this. I think this is what they mean: 1 hour ago, Communion said: Someone on PopJustice said it's only the bridge basically mimicking the talk-rapping like the original. And we already know she was toying around with the idea of doing a rap like Vogue because her scrapped 3rd verse from Motive (which was basically her telling Murda "let's do something KUNTY") basically does that: Edited January 10 by State of Grace. 6

Liamallstar Posted January 10 Posted January 10 All these vogue comparisons but no one saying the song is good is having me worried 1

Gerardo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 the lyrics are meh, but no one was expecting the song to be a poem, hopefully they go well with the melody/sound And I think a cunty visual could elevate the song

Gerardo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I don’t think it actually samples Vogue, one of the insiders would’ve said it by now, they only said it’s inspired by it Even if it’s interpolated it I don’t think it’ll be super in your face, or not through the whole song 1 2

Saintlor Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Ariana must've had a decent amount of input in the production as even Taylor doesn't have production credits for her work on 1989/Reputation with Max 2
kindararenext Posted January 10 Posted January 10 the absolute collapse that is incoming VERY excited for the music video too
sleepevaded Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) “interpolating a musical work is different because it does not involve using any of the actual audio sounds contained in a preexisting recording“ for anyone confused! i also doubt she’d ever do a direct/in your face interpolation with the same chorus lyrics and such - that’s just not her thing Edited January 10 by sleepevaded 2
Joyride Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I cannot picture this in my head for some reason a futuristic smash
