Is it just being received better because it is better or is it because the public didn’t know she dropped a single? Releases in the middle of the week always have a better iTunes performance (position wise) because they aren't competing with all the new releases. The original release likely sold more than these are selling today but it was being outsold by other releases. 57 minutes ago, vze2jrd4 said: funny how she drops her itunes price to $0.69 - i remember back in the day when Mariah dropped "loverboy" to $0.99 and everyone said she was a flop..... this song lacks any personality, it's not memorable or catchy....its tired and dated. "yes and....no thanks" LOL what is this random comparison? Dropping the price of a digital release that cost $0 to make has some key differences from physical editions that you had to manufacture, distribute and then have sell for less than a dollar at your nearest store (very likely sold at a loss).

Pop Music Aussie Posted January 15 Posted January 15 How is this topic ageist? I'm the oldest one here and nothing has offended me. Let's not play the victim here of having "No Taste"

Pop Music Aussie Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Also if the song isn't good people wouldn't even pay 20 cents for it... lets be real here. 1
Jude Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Ignore her. She drinks. OT: Buy yes and for clear and younger skin.

Vermillion Posted January 15 Posted January 15 As I predicted, a strong core fanbase wasn’t going to waver over a debate on the timing of supposed cheating. Not just that, but are circling the wagons. Combine that with the remaining reservoir of goodwill from past trauma Ari still has from other fanbases as well as desperate Pop radio programmers, and even a track of this genre was going to succeed outside Europe. Although given the multiple proud prior examples, including Naya Rivera saying with her chest that Ari was in the room with Big Sean, I totally buy the latest homewrecker allegations. Multiple rounds of smoke now and I have to believe there’s fire. I’m sorry. Now to the song. The lyrics try to have its cake and eat it too on her being a martyr of some sort in this entire press cycle. The production’s an obvious homage to loungy handbag house from the early to mid 90’s. I was consistent in saying that I didn’t think that Beyonce’s Break My Soul improved on much of it’s homage to Robin S’s Show Me Love and I also feel the same way about this track. it’s clearly trying to pull the understated trick for house music that Positions did for R&B and not go for an outright banger. The track will do very well worldwide, obviously in Europe, and clearly here as well but it’s staying power remains to be seen. The only thing I have a question about is what PR and interview strategy they’re gonna go through with this album cycle - now that will be interesting. Can they afford to take the Beyonce route? Does she have enough pull to pull that off?

Let's not play the victim here of having "No Taste" the previous comment asking if i was 37 was meant to be an insult - as if i were irrelevant because of my age... if i came on here and asked if you were gay, black, or trans (meaning to be an insult) i would have gotten in trouble - seems like its a double standard. its 2024 - attacking someone because of their age is messy. i didn't once mention ariana's age - i simply compared a situation - many have compared AG and MC over the years - i'm just saying, when MC dropped a single price, it was considered because the single was a flop - yet now, AG can do it, when there's absolutely NO reason to (there's no physical singles, no reason to cut costs),and no one wants to speculate why.... if most of you stream music anyway, whats the point of decreasing itunes prices? is it simply to jump start sales and get her numbers up?? that's a shady game if you ask me - let the numbers be a true reflection of how the song is doing. Nicki minaj tried this inflation of numbers non-sense and didn't billboard call her out for it?

Sorry. 90's house music was about anthems - big melodies and hooks, big voices - AG doesn't have the capability of pulling that off.

Some of you speak as if you have actual, legit radio/music business knowledge and experience and it's hysterical. Just because you read a chart doesn't mean you know anything about anything. this song is generic garbage - her vocals and weak, she looks terrible in the video - i said what i said. 1 1 3
