chosensparkles Posted January 12 Posted January 12 this song clears most of positions and some of tun 1 1
Mr. Duff Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is such a letdown. Where are the big vocals? Production is great but it’s not as good as I expected Ariana+ Max to be. This will smash out of the gate for sure due to Ariana’s name but I am not sure about longevity. It may do a Break My Soul type of run.
wigglytuffer Posted January 12 Posted January 12 my friends who have zero idea about stan culture are all absolutely loving this - Ariana being the UK darling that she is!
Theshigo Washidu Posted January 12 Posted January 12 This is a bop. The talking parts could've been left out tho.
youresotoxic Posted January 12 Posted January 12 the way both the song and video are amazing... ariana we LOVE you!

They straight up trashed them So that means they neither like it or hate it. They just think it's... just there. I hope this is a Break my Soul situation where the lead is not the best song on the album. Edited January 12 by duybeeGAshantiGA
ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted January 12 ATRL Moderator Posted January 12 What happened to the budget damn
wish Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It grew on me a bit more, but I'm still underwhelmed overall. The bridge is definitely the worst part.
State of Grace. Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The production is honestly so sublime. It's nothing groundbreaking but still very smooth and good. I take back everything bad I said about Fad Martin this decade! I also really like the chorus despite the criticism I'm seeing here/some other platforms. I don't think a strong, explosive punch à la No Tears Left To Cry's chorus for example fits this song. I think she could have just made the last one bigger and a bit more memorable, those adlibs over it were nice but there was room for more. Bridge is definitely my favorite part. I am obsesssssed

These expectations and idealizations of how pop girls were in music videos 10-20 years ago aren’t realistic. We are in a different music climate. This sophisticated, minimalistic, sleek, vibe will run this decade. Just like how it did in the 90s. lol its always the 40 year olds complaining, i love it 1
actirenaissance Posted January 12 Posted January 12 imagine a remix ep that has the instrumental, an 8 minute extended cut and vogue remix à la break my soul with this as the cover 1

Ariana’s lead singles very rarely complete reflect the entire album’s sound, I think The Way and positions are the only ones that really reflect the sound of the album Plus an insider said the album is more r&b

Tiago Gomes Posted January 12 Posted January 12 ariana just giving bad ***** using paula abdul's clip as a reference

Tiago Gomes Posted January 12 Posted January 12 i love the song so much the sample, the house music...girl...i love ariana because it wasn’t the safe route 1
Cotton Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I like the song tbh, it does lack a bit of a punch but it’s new for Ariana. I definitely think that it’s among the lower half of her lead singles though
