Asscatchem Posted May 11 Share Posted May 11 we kind of need to be real. they already went the "dude where's my car" brash y2k eccentricity with spicy last year. supernova is sounding and looking like nothing new and places their brand in a very awkward position. also it attempts to rehash wonyoung's scene but sans the class, sophistication and tastefully executed camp. it's tacky but that's expected of aespa nowadays without true visionary creative direction on SM's part who doesn't know what to do with them anymore and is just cashing out on bulk buying stans who enable mediocrity (birthday being RV's highest seller for example, making SM brave enough to just follow up with chill kill and call it a day). aespa is gorgeous and still has potential but it's not early 2022 anymore, and they need to answer to all the other 4th gen groups that have undoubtedly surpassed them and took their 2021 crown: Less, NewJeans, IVE, G-idle, and arguably ITZY. i just hope Armageddon is at least interesting. 1 4 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
