The setup:biblionny:

SKZ with an unpromoted Japanese OST that doesn't even have en MV either, and with only 9 hours of tracking is literally outstreaming your favorite group's comeback single

An established group out-streaming a 6 month old rookie? Groundbreaking.

I know SM groups/artists are known for not doing that well on streaming but less than 400k for their new popular BG is quite...

Anyhow, the song is great. One of the very few BG songs I dare to repeat.

Do not setup your faves by constantly comparing them to "established groups" then, and come for their stats   Like SKZ's unpromoted Japanese OST, is not outstreaming groups like Baemon, ILLit, Kiss Of Life etc. but it is indeed outstreaming RIIZE. So the situation is not just a "rookie group vs an established group" thing.

RIIZE in general have very underwhelming streams compared to their peers especially for a Big 3 group.

SM is so dumb for not selling DVD's or Blu-ray's of SNSD 10th Anniversary concert. They also fumbled the bag for not doing it again for thier 15th anniversary Concert 🤦‍♀️

:jamming: even their ballads slaps. Good music is one thing but maximizing the vocals even with the non singers in the group  to create good harmonies truly elevates the experience

I've been binge watching their live performances recently, none of active ggs come close to their level of talent & charisma performing on stage especially at their concerts. Truly the best kpop act ever tbh

Let's compare their peers:

RIIZE's most streamed song - Get a Guitar - 58M

TWS' most streamed song - Plot Twist - 25.8M

ok, maybe it's too soon since TWS are just 2 months

groups that debuted BEFORE Riize:

RIIZE's most streamed song - Get a Guitar - 58M

Zerobaseone's most streamed song - In Bloom - 45M

xikers' most streamed song - TRICKY HOUSE - 22.7M

Boynextdoor's most streamed song - One and Only - 21M

8turn's most streamed song - TIC TAC - 11.9M

Oh! I guess it's not that underwhelming

i mean they've been constantly releasing music and promoting since their debut which was like 6 months ago :rip:

SM doesn't let them gather hype for some reason

Also the vocal analysis videos for their songs are quite entertaining.

Very few groups take advantage of the members talents in the way SM did with SNSD and have them record harmonies and background vocals.

Spoiler

I think, more than ever before, the world is ready for a KDA comeback. :WAP:

WHY IS TAKING SO LONG, RIOT?

Reminder than Evelynn still has the best solo debut of any 4th gen GG.

Bc they were formed with talent and proper training. They weren't there just to be commercially successful, truly the  last top girl group with actual talent to back up their success they aren't problematic either

:bunny:

Like it's always about their performances, talent and impact when you think about their brand
