There's just something musical about both of them, whilst also being a little arresting sonically, as well as eye catching in design. Some names make sense, ie. the market is clear: Girls Generation, Boy Next Door, Teen Top, Wonder Girls, etc, and others have that extra flair but still fit into a very particular aesthetic like New Jeans, Crayon Pop, Orange Caramel, etc, and then there's those that are nice but don't really make sense - MBLAQ, 4Minute, Kara, T-ara, etc. Once in a while you'll have names that sound good but also evoke other words (Aespa has the word ass in it, in which we can envision rimming a hot guy, or Riize kinda sounds like rice, which is delicious, or lizard, which are great at controlling insect populations). Some names are just bad: Ateez, The Boyz, Kepler, Gidle, etc, but aren't particularly offensive. Once in a while, though, a name comes along that's so heinous that you do have to consider whether its maker deserves to continue their time on Earth. Illit, for instance, sounds like a virus or the coming of one. Stray Kids evokes the image of rabid dogs that need to be put down. My least favourite, though, is Cravity.
