base talk Does Anyone Else Genuinely Love All MPG’s?

Like, I THOROUGHLY enjoy catalogues of Madonna, Mariah, Celine, Janet, Whitney, Britney, Christina, Beyonce, Rihanna, Gaga, Adele, Taylor, Katy, Nicki, Ariana, Billie, Dua, Doja, Olivia, etc. 

 

I definitely enjoy some more than others, and I definitely think some are lacking in a lot of aspects, but I don’t dislike any of them.

 

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one that can enjoy the catalogues of artists I might not necessarily support wholeheartedly… so I’d like to know if that’s true or not

Like I personally think Katy is a weak artist on all fronts, but I’m not about to sit here and act like she doesn’t have a good 20-30 songs I genuinely enjoy. That’s how I am with all artists, even the ones I’m actively kind of turned off of like Demi and Meghan Trainor have handfuls of songs I love

I do love them all, honestly the only one that I slightly find annoying is Halsey, but I still like some of her music

You don't have to love all of them, but one who is into Pop music should know, understand and respect the Legends. The same way you don't have to like The Beatles but at least know about them and understand their impact in music, even if you particularly do not engage in their music. Otherwise you will write the crap that many write in this forum trying to defend or make your fave who was born two days ago bigger than she is.

To be honest the only popgirls I genuinely don’t enjoy their discography are Nicki and Beyoncé and Nicki is the only one I dislike because she is a horrible human being.

I feel like most people into pop music do this, but since they have their faves they engage in stan wars trying to attack other artists, but in reality they stream music from every mainstream pop girl/boy

it’s always so funny when on Spotify wrapped Stan accounts post theirs and the artist they’ve dragged all year is in their top 5

Love is a strong word. Tbh aside from my faves, Idgaf about them. I’ll stream their music though!

No I don't like some of those people. Do I still stream the occasional song? Of course. But there are several people classed as MPGs who I don't think have any albums worth listening to more than once. It's very clear some singers were simply there to sell a product and the albums were just a vehicle to carry the singles.

Yeah I love all of them like all the ones listed in the OP. I have my faves but still like all their “competition” (Taylor and Beyoncé, the Disney Girls, Mariah and JLo, etc). As long as they make good music I’ll be listening and keeping an eye out for them

I truthfully do, I like the alt girls like Lana Lorde and Lykke, the alt pop girls like Marina Halsey Melanie, and I’m even growing into classic alt girls like Bjork, Fiona, Kate, Tori, etc.

Well, I support and enjoy any MPG, because I miss the times when top acts were mainly pop girls and not everything was about trap and reguetton. I like them, but I can't stand some of their music, tbh.

Yes I even listen to some Taylor songs and albums and can appreciate elements of her even though I personally think she’s horrible all around!

We need to support all the pop girlies as pop lovers even the ones we don’t stan because at least they give us content!

There is not a MPG I don’t like.  I listen to all of them when they have a new release.  I’m surprised this is not more common.
