The hell we can't. Gaga's 2 years as pop's showrunner do not compare to the absolute STOMP of Madonna's '83-'90 imperial phase or her ROL comeback. On any level.

 

Most eras of Gaga's career are barely a match for Madonna's "underperforming" 90's albums.

And people were saying the same thing about Gaga by 2013, as she herself noted during ARTPOP. That’s really more a reflection of how females are treated in the industry rather than the reality of the situation.

Mariah said what she said because she was immature and insecure, not because it was true She said Madonna "used to be" popular, even though at the time she said that Madonna was fresh off the longest running #1 hit of her career plus two Top 3s the year before
