Rev8 Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Don't do P!nk like that M!ssundaztood is deffo one of the most important albums for the 00s (and has inspired others along) I dont know about Funhouse, but I guess it might be up there (just not on M's level)
May Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 i hate her recent output however I’m Not Dead is a classic
glitch Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 People laughing at her recurrent stats when she's still doing sold out tours 20+ years into her career, unlike several artists who do allegedly have classic albums
DawnAnti Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Classic songs ? Definitely , albums ? I don’t think so 1
Mystic Boy Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Missundaztood is. It literally revived 00s Female Pop Rock era.
TensionThingz Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Yes! 1. The truth about love 2. Missundaztood 3. Funhouse 4. I'm not dead 5. Try this BT, H2BH, T are **** though 1

ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted December 29, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2023 No. M!ssundaztood seemed like it would become one, but it’s forgotten now. 1
Kodak Energy Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 No But I do think she hid a legendary performer.
Uncatena Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 I'd say the Funhouse era was quite huge for her. idk if it's a "classic" album, BUT her Greatest Hits is FULL of radio smashes and classics. so I'd argue that one is a classic.

BravoTangoWhiskey Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) I love her but it does seem to me that her deep cuts aren’t much more than filler - and some of her singles trend hopping (but she gets hits so who cares). I’m not dead would probably be the body of work that is closest for me, although missundaztood had the singles to kick start a dynasty of 5/6 top tier songs per era (which is really impressive) Edited December 29, 2023 by BravoTangoWhiskey
Flanders Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Personally I feel like Missundaztood is her only classic, although it's not really representative of the sound most people associate her with. Her Max Martin-albums are all somewhat bland, although there are tons of gems on them. If you picked the best songs from her albums from 2006-2020, it would make a classic.
Khal Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Missundaztood is the closest thing. Hopefully, those mentions of TTAL and Funhouse are just from users with a sense of humour.

It’s not just that. There’s no critical groundswell that could carry forward the album’s legacy in light of the lack of interest from consumers. That era was so massive, but now it’s faded away. 1

Missundaztood is a classic imo. The era was incredibly huge, the singles were massive, and it was well received at the time. It also inspired many of her contemporaries. I think maybe part of the reason it’s faded away a bit is because Pink has mostly paid it dust. Didn’t she like hate the album because of how big it was? Maybe she should do an anniversary edition or something in a few years to get eyes back on this somewhat forgotten album.

If you’re looking for P!nk (queen of Australia btw) you won’t find her on the ground 1

This the first place I seen anyone say P!nk has a classic album. Imma go listen to it tho, I've only heard her first album + singles. Classics are mostly passed down from canonization, I never seen P!nk mentioned anywhere. Not even on a now Pop friendly RateYourMusic.
