Should Taylor leave Debut unre-recorded?

Recommended Posts

The re-recording has 0 hype, no viral track, no song above 500k daily stream

not to mention the album is on the bottom on every fan's ranking

The album will ruin her 1mil debut streak after 1989 TV (1,6 mil) -> reputation TV (est. 2 mil) -> Debut (400k at best, with 12 versions of vinyl which can be shaped as guitar in tribute to Teardrops on My Guitar)

Should she just move to TS11 at October 2024, after reputation TV, and made some narrative about leaving debut as it is cause it is the beginning of it all?

regardless of how little hype there is for debut TV, it will still be the biggest first week of next year until rep TV drops in late October.

Nobody cares about that +1M streak. She should re record it for the lil quick #1 in the B200

she shouldnt make it a mass produced slob like 1989 (TV) for the sake of 1M first week

Her debut is a great album and I'm expecting her to put the entire Beautiful Eyes EP on her debut or I will riot.

Honestly, her ending the re-recording era with her first album would be a cute full circle moment.

No. As an outsider looking in, this is her chance to reclaim her origin story from Big Machine, and bring us into the world where record labels were swarming from her songwriting skills alone. Give us the most amazing hidden demo songs from 13-16/17 alongside the Beautiful Eyes EP, and she can once-and-for-all shift the narrative that Scott Borchetta built her before moving to what should be her most exciting era: a Taylor untethered to re-recordings. :alexz:

Nope. Teardrops and Tim McGraw deserve a proper update - the latter more so because it was her first single and I'm sure holds a special place in her heart, as well as long time fans that have been there since the beginning.

I'm excited for Debut TV. I couldn't care less about it when the re-releases were first announced but now I can't wait to see what it sounds like.

No but it should get a cute fanfare-less release in like May (assuming Rep TV is coming in like February). Literally she should just surprise release it. The rerecordings era should really be wrapped up asap.

No and I demand at least 50 vault tracks. Every tape recording of her playing guitar while screeching like a chipmunk needs to be turned into a fully produced country track.

Poetic that the two albums left to reclaim, is her name (debut) and her reputation.

No it's the one that needs the upgraded vocals the most :deadbanana2:

Girl if you’re a fan of TS you know the vocals on her TS is a mess and idc if it sells 1 copy, it deserves an updated and more experienced vocal! It is kinda painful

I agree it should be a small, surprise release like evermore

No, she should re-record it as a TRIPLE ALBUM with all of her unreleased country songs.

I don’t love the self titled BUT it should be re-recorded. It does warrant a dual album with a revisited side featuring reworked versions of the tracks in addition to the vault tracks.
