John had the better Christmas song  . he was more controversial and died young . Paul played it safe. i would go with John

John feels bigger to me, I still hear imagine and the war is over whilst I only hear 45S from Paul and it’s not really for Paul. 
 

I know Paul outsold though and had 40 more years of music, maybe he will feel bigger when he dies.
