For months and months people have been dragging Nicki and swearing that she’s over. People were cackling over the messy rollout and anticipating low first week sales, only for her to exceed all expectations and sell over 200k first week. To save some face, people then said the second week drop will be embarrassing, only for the album to sell 99k. Moreover, 2 songs are currently going viral on TikTok after some posters swore there are no hits on the mid album.

 

The sudden disinterest and silence in Nickis chart performance threads have been jarringly evident, especially when threads about her potential failures would go over 3 pages.

Nicki lied about it being the best album of her career and a game-changer. She had multiple tracks thrown at the wall and one of those songs is kind of sticking cause of  Tik Tok. A platform she hated when other female rappers did well. Her label backing ensured she had multiple variants and discounts for a decent enough first week.

I think the problem with this album was the messy rollout and the overhype Nicki did. This is really like the ARTPOP of rap and ARTPOP also had a hit and well received songs by the GP. At the end of the day it’s not a flop but what she said about the album was clearly not true and she just didn’t met the expectations
