Chicken is healthier and better for the environment. Also less expensive and just as delicious. I'm here for this.

I do eat lean beef but pork is what I never eat. I hate pork.

I eat primarily chicken and turkey.

I've always hated beef/steak. The smell of it makes me sick.

I think the last time I had hamburger was when I was a toddler, and I have no recollection of it.

Something about an image of old man eating beef daily is so disgusting :doc: Like a scene from a horror movie

Turkey* is. Chicken meat is full of antibiotics and other chemicals.

I eat both.

But it's funny to me, a lot of vegan stuff is just trying to emulate instead of be something else. Idk it's strange, having a chick'n' sandwich just makes me crave an actual chicken sandwich :deadbanana4:

I wonder if the research even considered the economic factors. Beef is by far the most expensive of the three primary meats eaten in America. And the age group cited as being the biggest consumers are the wealthiest. I use chicken as my primary protein because it's readily available at a low cost. But, given a special sale price on a beef cut, I will go buy that and most times a few meals extra to freeze for later use. So how much of the decline is health and how much is economics?

That’s because most people don’t go vegan because they hate the taste of meat. They do it for ethical reasons.

The real enemy is pork :thing:

Yeah I never really got the hype behind steak. I normally only eat beef in bolognese or another mince dish and that's probably once a week at most. I like burgers too but that's even less frequent I have those.

Come to think of it I don't really eat pork that much either. My meals are mainly chicken or vegetable based. Eggs too.

Good news:clap3: Personally I’m eating much less beef than I did 3-5 years ago, and young people are doing the same.

Pork is the superior protein anyway

It’s unhealthy, it’s expensive, it’s cruel. My older 50yr old cousins are constantly posting/bragging about eating these massive steaks and it’s giving caveman/compensating for something

Beef is way too greasy. Hasn’t been a regular part of my diet since I was like 15 and I don’t miss it. I eat poultry routinely and fish to a lesser extent, though I’ve been considering a vegetarian diet because I’m kinda bored of meat.

I rarely eat beef, prefer other animals.

Well, the chicken I get from the store is antibiotic-free and it's still cheap. I like turkey too and both are healthier than beef

I have beef everyday and it's fantastic. Humans are not herbivores, so living off of plants is not going to work. :)

Here for lab meat :clap3:

I haven't eaten red meat in months.

Chicken and seafood/fish is where it's at :clap3:

Really? I eat a lot of beef, but maybe because I don’t eat pork

While I do eat beef, it is rare. Primarily due to health reasons with other meats being healthier. I would also say price as often the tastier forms of beef are pricy as hell. Both of my parents (boomers) eat a fair amount of beef product regularly and have a variety of health issues. They have other things that likely contributed to such concerns and I can't 100% say beef is a cause. But I am sure it is at least a factor.

It's time to implement a one-calf policy.
