That's a whole 20h of private jet use that I thought you all cared about. She's still there. And at least she used her jet to actually go overseas. Taylor does daily trips from one state to the other and lends her jet to her friends and family who are NOT famous and can absolutely take a commercial flight with no problem.

Raptus Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Brazilians: COME TO BRAZIL!!! Beyonce: everybody on MUTE 1
Dekkan Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 I curse the day Beyonce and Rihanna decided to declare war on their fans and start the trolling. They both deserve to get their ass whooped at some point

swissman Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 (edited) Who cares if she just came for an appearance? I swear people are so needlessly critical. Brazil is one of her biggest fanbases and if she wants to go say hi, why is that such an issue? Does she have to perform there or not go at all? Likeeeeeeeeee... I can see there is a point if she flew there for an evening and then left, but as has been mentioned, she didn't do that. Also what is the difference between doing that and touring, anyway, except offsetting the carbon footprint by giving more people a chance to see her, which actually doesn't offset the carbon footprint at all. It just gives humans an excuse to think it was well used. Jet use is jet use, no matter what reason. Edited December 22, 2023 by swissman
swissman Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 I can't believe that something as simple as Beyoncé making an appearance in a country has led to people being in here trying to put negativity into it based on apparent stan feuds... or... can I though? ALSO where is the trolling am I missing something? Didn't she troll London when she came for the premiere?

She decided to go to Salvador because of convenience, and paid dust to brazilian hive of bigger cities, also Ludmila (a local singer) knew of her visit beforehand and flied there to meet her. She's playing the "exclusive" game and treating her fans as locals, as per usual. Edited December 22, 2023 by TipToe

She didn’t pay dust to Brazilian hives in bigger cities. She wanted it to be more symbolic than a party for São Paulo white hipsters, unless she did the rena ball all the way in the periphery 💀 also Ludmilla is the biggest black Brazilian pop star right now. Unlike IZA she is a big touring act. It doesn’t surprise me one bit she got to see and meet Beyonce (which was her dream as a upcoming artist). Again, why would Beyonce meet with Luisa Sonza or some other bigger white artist? It’s just like when Viola Davis or Ciara came over and stayed with A-list black brazilian actress Tais Araujo 2 1

She's playing the "exclusive" game and treating her fans as locals, as per usual. I still don't see how this is trolling. She went one of the biggest cities in the country, one with a very noted Afro-Brazilian culture. Given the symbolism and interest in Black culture Beyoncé has long put into her work, is this really such an issue? It's not like she touched down in a random city in Brasil, stepped off the plane and said "I came to Brasil" then turned back around. Do you really think she was deliberately trying to upset people? Why? The thing about Beyoncé is everyone always places upon her THEIR expectations. If she doesn't do what they deem she should do, she's at fault. There also seems to be hypocrisy in criticizing her for not going to "the most important city of [a] country" and "treating her fans as locals", because why do "less important" cities not deserve her appearance, either? Are only fans in São Paulo or Rio worthy enough to see her/know she was in their city? Advocating for her to only go to the more important cities would in itself suggest that there is a hierarchy to her fandom, that some are locals whereas some ... just based on where they live, deserve to see her more. I think it's beautiful that she didn't just go to an expected place. It makes it that much more surprising and interesting, which seems to be the intent more than making people mad. She's playing the "exclusive" game and treating her fans as locals, as per usual. Salvador is the brazilian city with the largest black population. It's the epicenter of afro-brazilian culture. It was the first capital of the country back in the colonial era. It's symbolical. Another thing: Salvador is in the northeastern region - a region which foreign artists pay dust and never go, because the rest of the world only knows São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro - the largest cities in the country, but it's not like the rest of the country is empty, lol. Even the metropolises in the amazon Belém and Manaus have more than 1 million people. 4 hours ago, liquiddiamonds said: for São Paulo white hipsters that's kinda a reach. liquiddiamonds Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 2 minutes ago, constantinople said: that's kinda a reach. Absolutely not a reach. Although SP has a great black population, an international event like Club Renaissance would have been devoured and took over by advertising agencies and influencers’ managements trying to arrange invitations for their clients and associates (well-connected upper and middle class people from the city) and those are mostly white. The location would be surely exclusionary too. It happens in every big SP event, from Fashion Week to music festival afterparties: blacks and browns are always a minority in those spaces. Salvador is not perfect, it’s still a business, but it ensures that black and brown people, including content creators from these groups, are at the forefront. And that’s exactly what Renaissance is about. Some big national influencers were there and they were not closer to the stage or anything as such just for having millions of followers. In SP they would have VIP’d the whole space around the stage… unfortunately. I’ve lived there and the classicism is strong in those events. 2

Tistotal Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 From where exactly comes the narrative that Brazilian hive is the most loyal hive? What was that Club Renaissance? Was an event for her movie premiere? Happy for Brazilian hive, cute gesture coming off Beyonce!

I'm glad she went to spend some time with fans though, anyway, they definitely deserve it.
