Yep. They love showy musical-style numbers. They're not going to give Billie two Oscars. Too soon. However Mark Ronson wouldn't win for WWIMF?, he didn't write it. It's a songwriting award, producers don't get one.

There's like....0 chance Dua makes it imo, which is why I find her campaign for DTN a bit confusing. Yeah, it would be been nice if the song gets nominated and she gets to open the show recreating the movie scene, but that's not happening with Billie & Mark Ronson who are the clear frontrunners. It's a bit funny because both have won recently with Shallow (2019) and No Time To Die (2022). Unless the Oscars go with another song.

WWIMF is not that far ahead. They want the Ken song performed at the show for views that alone will get it in, Mabey even over bille. The only other show stopper song comes from the color purple.

Love Olivia though I think Billie deserves it more just between these two songs. That said — Billie’s issue is if she splits the vote with Ken. Which is a very real possibility. 
That’s probably what happened with Naatu last year — people splitting between Rihanna and Gaga.
