What is a "messy" gay though?

 

I'd say that pop divas have historically had massive gay fanbases yes, but not every gay is a messy Queen fighting about his fave on social media.

 

I remember reading an Ebony magazine letter once from 1975 after Theme From Mahogany dropped and a man bu the name of Curtis from Detroit wrote that Diana Ross was going to finally win a Grammy and that Aretha better clutch her pearls

 

So I mean I guess a big part of that diva fixation is being messy in general though so...

gays are a minority, gays into certain pop divas are even a smaller minority since they all dont like the same singers. So how is it MASSIVE?! Even someone like Cher who is known as a gay icon, if you look at her shows, the majority of people are older women not gay guys. Just because they arent in pop forums arguing with someone else doesnt mean they arent real. ya'll are delusional and think atrl and twitter is real life.

No I'd say it's significantly gay. I went to the RENAISSANCE tour in Houston back in September and a significant portion of the audience was gay men. The space was very clearly queer and you could tell from the outfits especially.

 

I'd say at least 1/5 people there were gay men, and that was the case for most dates of the tour.

 

So no, it's not a small minority, gay men are a very major portion of the fanbases of major pop divas and its been that way for years.
