Anyway, the show has been getting glowing reviews from fans and professional critics alike. Literally everyone falls onstage regardless their age and the fall wasn't even that bad? Most of the people's faves in here saying retire aren't attempting Madonna style shows in their 30s let alone their 60s. Give it up.

The negative criticism has to be constructive and well intentioned though. Have you watched the show? She dances much much less and the show is based around storytelling and theatrics, just like you described. The only dance moments are Hung Up and Don't Tell Me, really.

After several health issues and reaching the age 65 I expected her performance to take a new shape as opposed to still trying to “bring it” which just looks awkward now. 

 

A Roger Waters style tour with less emphasis on movement and more emphasis on stage direction and storytelling could work very well for her. But it seems like she has other points to prove.
