i mean he is kinda right. there was some weird mixing on this project and the vault tracks sounded straight out of Midnights sessions, production wise as well.

I was watching THE ERA tour at my friends place last night n I was dying at her zero stage presence and auto corrected off key singing! Gurl was stiff as a tree and sounded out of breathe every two seconds while having a hard time knowing what key she was in most of the time! She should just sit and sing n never move cuz she probably looks better performing that way.

He’s right. Taylor’s rerecordings are cheap cash grabs except for Fearless and the Red Vault. Red is unnecessary, the poppier cuts sound awful. Speak Now kills the teen joy from the OG. And 1989 TV sounds flat compared to the original productions. The Vault tracks sound nothing like the actual album either.

Yeah I think the feedback more so signals the support critics/people have for her doing these re-recordings and taking back her power as a woman in the music industry. If she randomly decided to do this without the Scooter controversy happening, I think they’d still be rated highly but definitely not as high.
