What is a great music discovery you made in 2023 that was not released this year?

So recently I’ve been getting into Ethel Cain and I’m absolutely in love with Preacher’s Daughter and all its meaning.

I honestly think A House In Nebraska and Sun Bleached Flied might be two of the best songs I’ve ever heard.

What about you guys? Have you listened to any previous project from an artist that you only started appreciating this year?

I listened to this album this year too, but some songs didn’t click with me! I love his voice though and golden hour is absolutely beautiful

If you like his voice, I recommend checking out Steven Sanchez's Angel Face. Its like a combination of him and Elvis.

My favorite song from JVKE is i'm not okay.

I’ll try to remember checking it out tomorrow, while at work! Thank you for the recommendation

Eartheater’s back catalogue. I’d only heard Trinity & Joyride before. Volcano in particular is a showstopper

Don't hate me but I learned about Sade & Mary J. Bilge this year... Now I'm obsessed with old school r&b these days

The fun part about music and streaming in particular is having the chance to dive deep into the past and discover (old) new things even if it’s from known artists.

Overall really liking his discography. He's done whistle notes on some tracks!
