Taylor having a tour (and a movie) four times bigger than Bey's after spending ten years spreading the narrative that she was this untouchable legend really did a number on them. 3 4 1

You’ve…kinda been obsessed with the Hive/Bey for a while, and I say this as someone who has gotten annoyed with ppl’s need to poke holes in Taylor’s success or avoid giving her the respect she’s earned. You trying to bring this issue up in various threads instead of just taking a corrective action is a textbook example of this. Like, as much as the Taylor bashing is clearly childish, you are always trying to admonish the Hive. You clearly like that Taylor is being (unfairly) bashed, because it gives you people to attack and complain about across the forum while still feeling righteous. Clock it.. Im hive, and they’re annoying tf outta me in this thread and others pressed for no reason Taylor is killing it.. congrats to her! Beyonce is Beyonce because of WHO she is.. not necessarily what she’s accomplished. I stan HER. not her commercial dominance or lack thereof.

Beyonce being an ‘untouchable legend’ was never merited or predicated on her commercial dominance.. ever. Matter fact there was never a time where she was the top selling artists and Taylor has ALWAYS done better commercially. she’s an established diety in the eyes of her peers, other celebrities and pop culture as an institution.. that type of adoration tends to bother ppl something deep especially other fanbases whose faves outsell her: i.e - Taylor.. secretly they think Taylor should get the same ‘goddess’ treatment that everyone believes Beyonce receives from the industry at large because they feel her numbers support it, but Beyonce gets that reverence because of her beauty/poise and the fact that she’s a mythic creature that leaves everyone spellbound whenever she gets on stage.. this translates to different things like Beyonce walking into an awards ceremony and the entire audience getting up and giving her a standing ovation just because she’s there.. mind you her last album could have opened with 93k and it wouldn’t make a difference.. they would swoon and cheer regardless. That’s what everyone wants for their fave and that reverence only seems to be reserved for Beyonce and other celebrities of the past like MJ/Prince/Whitney etc 1 1

Taylor said it best: Yet outlets, especially Forbes, are continually doing so, as well as stans from both fandoms. This thread is about Taylor, why would you bring Beyoncé ? We celebrate Taylor here.

HANZ94 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 The Beyhive is FUMING everywhere congrats Taylor 1

Beyonce is beyond her prime.. she’s enjoyed her time in the sun many times over. Taylor definitely deserves this and is an undeniable icon in her own right for everything that she’s achieved/accomplished, so the accolades she’s getting like POTY is well deserved! Beyonce is BEYONCE with or without any title.. I don’t know why hive is so insecure in that. 1

Literal global studies show Taylor is the most admired entertainer in the world. She doesn't need an artificial "untouchable Goddess" persona for that As for Beyoncé supposedly "only needing to walk in an anwards ceremony for the entire audience to be swooned/give her a standing ovation"... Y'all need to stick to narrative. Does she have her peers at award shows bowing down to her or does she not? Because y'all switch when her peers don't award her general field wins at the Grammys while complaining that Taylor won AOTY more time than any artist in history. 1 2

MJ has been getting snubbed by the Grammys as well for most of his career except with THRILLER where he scored 2 general field wins compared to his peers and his peers/industry elite still grovel at his feet. Like MJ and Prince, Beyonce has a unique star power and allure that isn’t predicated on her latest commercial success or her record sales. That’s why she can have flop side projects that no one’s listened to and pop up at an event incognito late asf and STILL be the talk of the night. Beyonce could be the biggest flop w/the worst sales, can lose every major award and come last place in every commercial metric AND the industry, the media, her peers etc will continue to swoon, weep and applaud at the mere glimpse of her presence.. all the while being a flop has-been. this mythic energy isn’t curated by some falsehood spun by ‘branding/marketing’ (Yvette is actuall a terrible PR person lol).. is fueled from her talents as a performer.. only great entertainers get that type of holistic adoration for some reason in pop culture. exhibit A: 2:30-3:00 Edited December 15, 2023 by Bmezy 1
