Have you noticed alt-right fascism outside the internet?

We often discuss on how scary it is that there's a rise of incel'd alt-right fascist ideologies views all over the globe, but have you witnessed any real-life (outside the internet) instances of this?

I haven't overheard, or seen, anything, but I was passing by a city square in my area one time recently (in October) & found it odd that so many cars were honking their horns (I didn't go close to the event). Turns out I realized it was the day of an anti-LGBT protest being held across many cities (in Canada, go figure:cm:) to protest the curriculum inclusion of LGBT content in schools:rip:.

I lived in the Deep South from birth until I graduated college last year, so yes.

I was literally harassed every single day during the Summer of COVID at my Summer job at a gym by people asking me why I’m wearing a mask and their thoughts on the epidemic that was “blown out of portion” or “not real”…

Yes, and I very much blame Trump, Andrew Tate, and Elon Musk for it.

Yes. It used to not be this bad here before COVID, but after people started to get more into Conspiracy Theories, started to get their info on Tiktok and started to listen to people like Elon Musk/Andrew Tate and men like them, it has been getting worse. It used to be only older people, but now I’m seeing a lot of far-right discourse amongst younger generations and it’s honestly very scary to me.

Blame Google, Facebook, and TikTok for feeding this poison in their algorithms. From what I’m seeing in the younger gen, it’s worse than I remember growing up. The TikTok comments alone. :deadbanana4:

I've seen neo-nazis with swastikas tattoos casually strolling in the street in Spain when I lived there... You will find these weird ass people everywhere sadly, especially if you live in a big city.

In my country is the opposite. We have a populist extreme left president and is demolishing everything :emofish:
Our health. Criminality all time high. Food gettin more and more expensive.
We have our own version of the trumpsters but in reverse. Its a Hell

After enduring this i feel like im more sympathethic with americans they pain of livin with brainwashed people and how we cant change them
They also are supportive or russia-china and more and dont believe in facts anymore. Sciece is a no for them.
This is very dangerous. Propaganda everywhere

I was also attacked one time by trumpsters years ago in an international chat. Just cause i was latino.

I think we are in a worst case scenario. Extremists from both sides ruining more and more the world and people with common sense, open to conversations and with nuance seen as the bad guys or just cannibalized.  People not believing in science or factual information are now kings. They eat whatever politicians say above everything.

Sad state of the planet :giraffe:

All of this started with social media. Their horrible mismanagements have ruined the world
Thanks zuckerberg-elon and more....You ruined everything.

There's no far left that supports Russia or China btw, the far left isn't someone who doesn't hate trans or gay people and muslim immigrants, that's barely left-leaning in the first place. There's a hoard of policy that would make one a "far" lefty and i know they're not leading anyone's country in this century.

On the thread, yeah. I have little boy cousins who I had to SCALP for their misogynist rhetoric about girls(overheard them at a family function.) Their parents don't know who andrew tate and fresh 'n fit was so they thought it was fine that their kids were watching them but I let them know what time it was.

I wasn't aggressive with them, just simple "why do you think x is correct" and "what if x was said about x, would you still feel x was correct?" etc. Boys aren't stupid just harder to reach and you gotta cut down the idol to size to lessen the appeal to them before even getting to why the rhetoric is harmful.

My family was never right-leaning in the first place so it's not the adults I have to look towards for signs but it's very much clear the high-school going aged young men are the main base of the shift.
