nostalgia Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Rachel McAdams made a wise choice by prioritizing her Oscar campaign for "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" over participating in the Mean Girls reunion commercial for Walmart. This decision showcases her commitment to her craft and the pursuit of more substantial, critically acclaimed projects. By focusing on a role that earned her acclaim from critics and garnered award nominations, Rachel demonstrates a dedication to her artistic growth and recognition for her talent beyond the confines of a nostalgic reunion. The move reinforces her standing as a versatile and respected actress, allowing her to explore diverse roles that contribute to her professional evolution. Ultimately, Rachel's decision reflects a commitment to her craft and a desire to be recognized for her current and future contributions in the film industry. 1
WEEKND Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Being busy is the greatest flex ever especially when it’s true. 7
stoopidjenna Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 As far as I can tell, she barely wants to leave her family to act in actual films. No way was she going to do that for a Walmart commercial. 9
popmusicisdead Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 yes. she was too busy being an acclaimed working actress. the other girls, aside from Amanda, can't relate
Mean Trees Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 She won't acknowledge Mean Girls until she wins an Oscar (even though they're meaningless in 2023).
Digitalism Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 There's nothing award worthy about that performance And how is she bussy when she has literaly no projects comming? Dumb move. 1 1
SoldierofLove Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Absolutely. As cute as the commercials are, they’re for Wal-Mart. Mean Girls deserved better. The girls should’ve held out for something more prestigious than a Wal-Mart commercial. I guess the pay cheque must’ve been nice.
modeblock Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 yeah...she's already really wealthy so, like it's has-been vibes walmart ad vs. Oscars for her - I'll tell you which one I'd choose...
aesthetic bih Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 She knows her priorities. Plus I think she has confidence that she's gonna nail the film so she put it first
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Regina George in Rachel’s clothing
okgo Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Literally 0 correlation? Walmart is the biggest retailer in the US, Mean Girls one of the most popular movies ever (and her most beloved role) so if anything having her face all over TV and social media during this season would only help her case considering she barely leaves the house Get you a talented legend who can do it all (and turned down Marvel showcasing her commitment to her craft and the pursuit of more substantial, critically acclaimed projects. By focusing on roles that earned her acclaim from critics and garnered her Oscar nominee, Emmy winning status among many other accolades) 6 hours ago, Mean Trees said: She won't acknowledge Mean Girls until she wins an Oscar (even though they're meaningless in 2023). So shocking. When she goes out of her way to bring it up in an interview then call me.

Ok, here's Rachel being asked out of ALL her roles which one would she like to play again and her picking Regina George (should autoplay but its around the 4:29:35 mark) Rachel loves Mean Girls and Regina, there's a misconception she doesn't because she's not on social media so you don't see her talking about it as much as the others do (like Amanda is always sharing throwbacks and referencing it on IG) but just in general you never see her out and about, she only pops up to promote a current project once every 3 years (and that's still the one role she is always asked about - and she always answers graciously/excitedly, I can post multiple instances of her talking about it this year while promoting her latest movie per example.) Rachel is also older, it's normal that Lindsay and Amanda in particular seem to care/understand the movie's impact more because they're millennials/the original target generation that embraced and grew up with it. She did the 10th anniversary reunion with the others as well. https://ew.com/article/2014/11/20/2004-mean-girls/ And the virtual reunion. So it really makes no sense to act like she pays it dust Edited December 11, 2023 by okgo 1
