I think it's time to have that conversation. Yes, original Home Alone is great and is a classic, but Scarlett Johansson's Home Alone 3 is lowkey the best sequel. We got not one, not two but FOUR (4) villians. And first ever female home bulgular. The storyline also had a lot of home traps that were clever and well executed. The bulgulars were smarter and more serious but still goofs. 

 

TL;DR Scarlett Johnansson's Home Alone 3 >>>>>>> other Home Alone sequels. Especially Home Alone 4 and those other abominations that came out later.

Home Alone 3 is the best non-1-or-2 Home Alone movie, let’s put it that way

It’s not better than the first 2 but it is still a decent movie. I like it.

3 is better than the movies that followed it, but I need to give 5 its flowers. It can be surprisingly funny sometimes... and Malcom McDowell ate that role up.

Home Alone 3 is actually pretty decent as far as like, booby-trap heist kinda movies go. But no sorry, Home Alone 2 accomplishes the Christmas Vibes better, thus is a better credit to the franchise.

It's very rare that sequels, especially those with a completely different cast, are even as good as the original but this one was really great. The lead actor isn't as charismatic as Macauley though.

 

I still think HA1 is the best movie of the franchise but HA3 is not far behind tbh.

 

I never liked the second movie.

To me, the second is the best followed by the first. The third is okay though. Definitely miles better than everything else that came after.
