Psyduck Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I think I know what's wrong with this era. The image is way, way too similar to Sour. There's basically no difference. Down to the purple, the outfits, the hair, it just looks like Sour 2.0. When Britney did Oops she changed her image, all of a sudden she was super glam and Hollywood, larger than life videos, no more "girl next door" stuff. Olivia needed a similar transformation. I think this is why the singles have disappointed after the lead, first of all they're not as catchy as Good 4 U, but the image is just redundant. Her VMA performance seemed like a Sour era performance too. She needs better gays to inspire her and help her revamp her image.
1989 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Vampire was a bit rough, but she’s always seemed a bit nervous performing that song. It’s always sounded a little difficult for her to begin with, and playing piano during it as well just makes her more nervous. AAB was great, though. Overall she did fine.
